Word mustíve got out then and theyíve changed it? The only time Iíve been the bailiff picked the first ball then a member of that group picked then next ball and so on. The few times my mate went when he paid to be drawn out first the bailiff picked the first ball which was always his 😂. They must have quite a lot of regulars that go a couple/few times a year because the last time he went and came out first someone else on the trip even said to him he has some luck because heís seen him come out first before

Iím not 100% sure but fairly certain the bailiff/s that weíre doing this are no longer there since covid come

The thing I found strange about Crete was the draw for swims. I thought you could book a certain lake then do a draw for that lake but itís a draw for the whole complex. The fact you can be in a group of 4 and come out first and for example, one person could go on the best swim on lake 1 another member of the group could go on the best swim on lake 2, 3rd member of the group could go on the best swim on lake 3 etc just didnít sit right with me.

Only been the once and had a good week despite the poor draw we had, food was decent as well but couple times we went to McDonaldís as there was something on that neither me or my mate fancied. Didnít like the start/finish times (get picked up at 7am and you got to have your gear packed up ready) but overall I enjoyed the week but wasnít sure whether Iíd go back or not

My mate went back the following year and as mentioned above a group of 8 lads (2 groups of 4) came out first and second in the draw (whatís the chances 🤷🏻‍♂️ so sowed up the better swims on the complex. My mate ended up next to one of the lads from the groups and after a few days and beers he told my mate they always come out first when they go as the slip the bailiff a couple hundred euros and he pulls their balls out first

Soon as he told me this story I said Iíd never go back there as thatís out of order on the other 30-40 anglers that have spent their hard earned money hoping for a fair crack

My mates been back 2-3 times now maybe more and always come out first in the draw, always happy to hand over Ä200 for the pick of the complex

My trip a few years ago was not a disaster but equally not a place I will visit again. Found the bailiffs very hard to get on with and the general etiquette was akin to Linear. I can see the appeal given the convenience and the stock, but not for me.

In regards to bait sounds as though they have changed supplier as when I went I had a 50/50 split between house bait and cell. All fish were being caught on cell at the time but that was a good few years ago now

I really don't see the fascination with this place.
I went once and I would never return.

So many better places to go to be honest.

The whole experience from start to finish was a disaster.

Out on Friday, personally Iíd take my own preferred bait. It may be a holiday, but go with something you trust. Could make all the difference.
