In reply to Post #1060 Massive task running and funding this country. Too big for daydreamers anyway.
Maybe we should start doing highway robberies on the rich to top up the charity pot?
If people are paying their taxes they are abiding by the laws of the country, job done. Now if you have a problem with rich people, you need to deal with it?
Now if it’s illegal, that’s a completely different matter. I was very proud the other week when the drug dealer got all his assets stripped off him, more of the same please, just disappointed he didn’t get sent down too?
Where should start, large corporate tax fiddles, I’m all for it

How do you know what I give/do for charity? Are you stalking me? Is that how infatuated with me you are Not quite sure who “people like me are” tbh. Those that think public money should be spent helping people? That my taxes shouldn’t be used in corrupt ways and line the pockets of the rich? The fact you don’t get that is quite a reflection on yourself. A sheep and a fool.
It’s funny how you think redistributing public money to feed the poor instead of the rich is somehow a bad thing. Or can you just not take it that it’s actually a decent plan but because people that don’t have the same opinions as you are asking for it, you have to oppose it because you’re that sad?
I find it mind boggling that you’re happy for your taxes to feed people that are being paid 2.5x the average British salary (as a minimum). More fool you I suppose.

In reply to Post #1058 Your such a charitable person, you should give a lot more, I don’t understand people like you, pay 1/2 you salary to charity, you may get some satisfaction, or are you just another hypocrite?

In reply to Post #1055 Weeping in that corner too are you? I’m sure you’ll edit your post in 20mins when you’ve stopped and come up with a shoddy insult.
To be fair a child is much more of a genius than you. I’ve heard that they can actually remember things accurately

No idea when or where I said I COULD be prime minister. You’re clearly cracking up old chap. Best go sit in the corner and try remember which way round your socks go

In reply to Post #1050 Guess they are. We should thank ourselves lucky people like you and your Ike minded friends are not running the country and it’s another bunch of muppets instead
MPs overpaid, possibly, something you could address first on your agenda
When this country has been milked dry and there’s nothing left we will know where to look won’t we, when the balance changes and there are not enough people paying taxes to sustain the nation, what should we do then, phone a friend?

In reply to Post #1049 Or maybe we should be allowed to chose where our taxes go. For instance instead of footing the bill for MPs food bills, even though they earn 80 odd thousand annually + whatever other income, maybe that part of our taxes goes towards feeding hungry children?
Redistribution of the existing money... simple, easy answer to the issue. Stop feeding the rich and feed the poor.
Guess the simple things are even beyond some

In reply to Post #1048 Same reason as the government should.
There’s a footballer calling for school dinners, he was the one banging the drum. I wonder how much he is donating himself, or should we leave it down to the tax payers. A lot of clubs do things for the local community. If school dinners are their concern, then why not pitch in?
If he is donating himself good on the lad. I’m sure they may be some kind of tax fiddle or they could create one, reductions in tax if they are donating. I know Harry McGuire was donating out of his own pocket, whether he can claim it back or not, or put it through his books is another story?
And same as any rich person, they have an option to support charities if they want to, or should the government support all these charities instead?
You still dreaming of an endless pot of cash in this country then?
Maybe we should all pay double tax, how about you?

In reply to Post #1043 Why should footballers do something when other high earners and those whose only skill was to be born into a rich family aren't being asked to?
Footballers (and most are from modest backgrounds) seem to bear the brunt of the comments about high wages but it is the market that decides the monetary value of their skill. Whilst becoming a top-rated player is still a rarity and the demand is high for their skills the wages will be high.
Unless of course you nationalised the Premier League and made them civil servants I suppose, like the good socialist you are deep down.

In reply to Post #1046 People are now starting to realise that the “Australia” deal that they were sold as being good is actually exactly the same as NO deal It’s like they weren’t warned or told about it.
Can’t imagine how stupid they feel
