I had to read this one twice to check
Fishing minister Victoria Prentis admitting she did not read the brexit deal with regard to the fisheries deal when it was published and before it was passed as she was ,, wait for it ,,,, organising the school christmas nativity ! and we have witnessed the result , many pi**ed off fishermen doing nothing in transition deadlock unable to fish !
What do you have to do to get sacked in this government !

Yep , after the 2017 election when he nearly won the lies and smears went into overdrive , you could sense the panic , well , some could , such a shame the majority lapped it up , would of been interesting to see where we would be now !

In reply to Post #1698 To quote Nelson Mandela
“One of the mistakes that political analysts make, is to think that their enemies are our enemies
Extend that out to the super rich and media controllers I guess...and you get to where we are now with how the media contorts the truth and reality, anyone/anything can be a casualty of war for them. Whether it’s a politician, starving children, actual laws or legal activities, etc. As long as it plays out the way the media controllers want it to.
As they say, Murdoch has never lost an election

What i am saying is the influence of corporate power and money is now at an all time high ,at the worst time possible and to protect and grow their fortunes they will resort to anything and with this lot in power now , well , it does not bode well , especially when the person who will likely replace "the buffoon" is trying his hardest to suck up to these people !, as we saw with Corbyn , if you are a threat , you aren't winning an election !
It's the corruption of politics by these people is the problem , you can see the negative influence everywhere , as we are witnessing at the moment !
Following the evidence !

In reply to Post #1694 Is journalism, or should I say newspapers and media not just that, slinging mud and selling stories?
Enlightening to know peoples perception's on what they are really voting for and why
What makes them decide

In reply to Post #1693 You noticed how no one answered my question in my previous post? Says a lot.
They Probably skip past most of your comments knowing you will argue all day long just to have the last word.........
there are meant to be laws regarding reporting and news feeds at the time of elections , well ,unless there is someone that threatens "the established order " and their corrupt grip on society , what happened in the last election was not reported on , except here
Spanky - Same kind of thing could be said about the reporting of Trump in America, Corbyn would have been corrupted and quickly......

Scozza , with regards to having an election , thats all well and good , but when the people that form peoples opinion lie and are not held to account , what then ? there are meant to be laws regarding reporting and news feeds at the time of elections , well ,unless there is someone that threatens "the established order " and their corrupt grip on society , what happened in the last election was not reported on , except here ,

In reply to Post #1688 benefit fraud does need to be tackled - in the same way as tax fraud (and more recently 'furlough fraud') and other cheating the system does. that builder who says 'cash is king' so he can be creative with his tax return is just as much a problem as those who falsely claim benefits. As are the big businesses and high earners who use tax avoidance loopholes
but the point here - which people are missing while they get on their comfortable high horse and rant about people having mobile phones and Netflix and tar all FSM families with their same prejudiced blinkered brush - is that those who are in need of the free school meals are THE CHILDREN. The kids aren't benefit cheats. And of the 1.4 million (and increasing) families who qualify (yes it is means tested) for this, it's a minority that might spend the money elsewhere.
this gets me riled because the people making the policy have no clue - again! and it creates yet another divisive discourse - making the poorest families yet another group to demonise.
aaaand.... breathe....

In reply to Post #1688 Doesn’t this just mean that overall you’re frustrated that your tax money is not only going to people that abuse the benefit system, but it also goes to an ineffective system that allows them to abuse it without repercussion?
Can sit there all you like and moan about the abusers but no one seems to moan about the public servants that are meant to find, stop and prosecute them.
