I'm not surprised either, like you say it goes on by all parties from the top to the bottom and in all countries.
Then depending on their point of view they cherry pick who and what opposes it.
Goes on a lot on here as well with others telling others that they are wrong and stupid, chuck in the odd fancy word to give the impression they know better and then proceed to give them their daily lecture.

Just goes to show really that it pays to not always believe the bull**** reported in the mainstream media, there are some people who are pretty selective in what they do or don’t believe, and even if it were true that Boris slipped off to Italy.... so what? We all know that politicians are privileged and get away with stuff us mere mortals aren’t allowed to so why should we really be surprised or even shocked? The whole Dominic ‘poor eyesight’ Cummings affair proved that, one rule for them and one rule for us and that’s ALL politicians, Tory, Labour and the whole lot of em
The Banksy House of Commons painting just about sums it all up!

Hiya tinhead

It's going well to be fair. We've a range of new things in place to help with distancing and stuff, no staff rooms, guidance in classrooms, boxes with cleaning kits in, one way systems to reduce head on contact, staggered breaks and lunches to keep Year group bubbles separated....

Rules change overnight and we just get on with it. Last week masks were advised, this week they are mandatory. The kids just get on with it and are mostly good natured and very chilled about it all. We have a laugh and say it's because their teachers are all ugly and they don't complain about an infringement of their civil rights...

There are some who did all the work set online whilst we were off, some who did none at all. Again, we just get on. The philosophy is not one of 'catching up' because all schools have been closed so instead it's an ethos of reminding ourselves what we love about learning and re-learning our ways and means. I'm loving being back even though my subject is one of those most radically changed to meet covid guidance. Given the bigger picture I'm grateful to be in a job that I love and that still exists!

I'm lucky to work under a brilliant head who worked through all his holidays and is in regular communication with staff and parents. Unlike the government who thought it was right to take their six week holiday in the midst of the biggest national crisis since the war.... (don't get me started....)

So. Yeah, it's good to be back. It's not perfect but it's where we should be so long as we keep sensible and safe

Mal how's school going.?
My missus is shocked about the kids handwriting, hardly any of them have picked up a pen in a 6 months and relied on laptops and tablets, standards have really slipped. She's on the case though

Let’s just hope in the years to come once all of this is over that Boris doesn’t keep crawling out of the woodwork like that nasty lying maggot Blair constantly does..... if there ever was a time when I want to chuck a brick at the telly it’s when his orange face comes on with his two penneth worth yet again!
Thatcher was like marmite, some loved her, some hated her but as for Blair, I don’t know anyone who has anything good to say about that piece of work!

Apparently they got him mixed up with Tony Blair

Easily done. Both built careers on lying to the British public. ..

Good job he didn’t offer to do it for free like Trump

Still, when he’s done with the PM role I’m sure he will drop onto a board of directors of a company he has been helping out during his tenure as PM. They all usually have their fingers in one pie or another which I think is totally out of order myself

I can imagine the 6 of them saying 'sorry we're already at capacity so you'll have to go back to number 10' just to get rid of the old duffer....
