In reply to Post #184 However it pans out most of us won't be here to witness it. Future generations will see the changes gradually so it will be just a part of life for them.
I do find it difficult to believe that Italy figure though,

In reply to Post #183 Yeah, this.
Quotes from the "experts":
"To be successful we need a fundamental rethink of global politics.
"The distribution of working-age populations will be crucial to whether humanity prospers or withers."
Wowzers.
@Mal, Children of Men is an incredible film

In reply to Post #182 Yep, instead of points systems for immigration countries will be offering incentives for working age migrants. Who pays taxes to care for the huge old age population, who cares for them even. AI and robotics will have to take lots of jobs that populations can't fill etc. Sub Saharan Africa population will treble over this time so that's where your working population will come from. Putting incentives in place for people to have more children is a tricky proposition and bound to face opposition as does immigration.

In reply to Post #181 now I'm intrigued...

In reply to Post #179 Good! It'll be too late by then though, the world will still be overpopulated for the resources available. That's if we dont destroy it before then.

A fertility study by the University of Washington has some incredible projections.
Japan population 128 million now, 53 million by the end of the century. Italy population now 61 million, 28 million by the end of the century. UK projected to peak at 75 million dropping back to 71 million over the same time frame. China population 1.4 billion now, to 770 million by the end of the century.
Education and more women working is the reason apparently.

please tax us properly
Imagine millionaires having to beg the government to tax them properly for the good of the nation. Goes to show the scale of incompetence at work in the government. Bet none of them are politicians or friends of either are they. Corruption runs deep.

In reply to Post #175 Points based, innit! Hoorah!
So let's hope the brexiters who were sick of all those EU migrants cleaning their elderly relatives' bottoms are handy with a sponge.
High earning British lawyers with Polish cleaners will soon be replaced by high earning foreign born lawyers with enough points, and British cleaners. Will that make the brexit lot happy?

To be honest I'm not in the mood or in the right setting so I'm baling out again. The Arse have lost and I'm in the company of two Spuds and a fridge full of Hobgoblin. Only really came on here to check out the footy thread.

Suppose they be accused of racism because they only went after the BAME sweat shop owners but ignored the British ones?
Not saying it’s right it ignore any of the crimes but there’s going to be British pedo gangs, British sweatshop owners, etc. Which are not being bought to justice too.
