I wouldnít know, Iíve never been a part of their education system. But as I said below, if you read it before posting stupid comments, I clearly said my thoughts on educating children on the full history of a country is not exclusive just to Britain.

If you guys want to just assume things and disregard the bits of what I say that donít suit your agenda then thatís your issue not mine.

I donít really understand why you are here if I am honest if itís that bad?

Greece has done it's fair share of atrocities. Do they teach that in their schools?

Like I said, I have many thoughts on education, this is one of them. I think children should be taught lots of things. I think fundamentally to any country the teaching of its own history is important. Good and bad. I never said my thoughts were exclusive to Britain did I? You ASSUMED that.

You can try and cal me what you want but until you learn to read and understand and not just make assumptions before you start calling people things you wonít be taken seriously.

Just admit it, you are really arenít you?

This country is what it is and atrocities as you call it is what has made this country, rightly or wrongly but it is what it is.

Why donít we start teaching the kids about the millions and millions killed in Africa in civil wars and genocide?

Or does this not suit your agenda?

You are so transparent, British racist

The thing that is wrong with this country at the moment is people like you and your attitude

Can you not read?
Where did I say i was embarrassed by it? You really do scramble for some of your dribble donít you

I said it should be taught in schools so children know the full history of the country, not select bits of it that are preferable...in basic just for you in case you donít understand. Teach both good and bad bits...not just good bits.

So you are embarrassed by British history then. The thing that made this nation what it is today?

No it doesnít

What I believe should be in the national curriculum has nothing to do with my feelings on British society.
Cmon, you tell me why it does...or canít you?

The fact people complain about hiding history by removing things when itís hidden already as the information and education isnít there to surround it makes no sense. Thatís nothing to do with British society, itís true of any situation, just in this case itís British history we are talking about.
You just got triggered and started making assumptions again

But I suppose we shouldnít suspect any less from you should we sadman

I repeat. What does my opinions on education have to do with my opinions of British society?

What has my opinions on the national curriculum got to do with what youíre asking?
I also think they should overhaul it and offer trades at younger ages than 16. Does that mean I denounce literature or something?

Honestly. Get a life. Youíre a sad little joke of a man. Itís beyond pathetic. Try and be a silly little bully all you want but end of the day itís only you making fool of yourself.

I think we covered it pretty well at my school, to be honest I was either absent or too out of my swede to remember most of it. Which is part of the problem, people forget a lot of the stuff they learn at school after a while.
After failing miserably at school I came to realise most of the curriculum that I spent years arguing against, is actually irrelevant and itís the ability to take on information and put together work based on it in preparation for the workplace or higher education thatís important. Well maybe just in schools of reprobates destined for crap jobs like mine, but further or self education is where youngsters should extensively cover specialist subjects in depth.
