In reply to Post #690 Although they'll soon lose their protected origin status, so producers across Europe will be able to make and sell 'Stilton' cheese.
I'm looking forward to the Romanian Cornish pasties.

A bit of detail on the deal.
It's a small step and won't save the economy, but at least the Stilton makers will be happy 😊

Good news about the trade deal with Japan
Let's hope they don't say it's nonsense six months down the line and decide to ignore it.

In reply to Post #685 Course not. I don’t think he’s fit for purpose in the slightest.
Btw you mention labour manifesto not making sense but the tories are copying it now to dig us out the economic crisis

In reply to Post #677 Scozza, I don't think your sister sounds like a scrounger. if she lives permanently in Spain then she will probably be registered with the Spanish healthcare system and as a EU citizen perfectly entitled to use healthcare in the UK. The cost is billed by the NHS to the Spanish system. This will continue until the end of the year. From next year she'll need health insurance when visiting the UK. If she's not formally registered in Spain, then she risks getting chucked out after brexit is completed.
I don't know much about dentists, but I know that it's pretty difficult to get a NHS one.
Does she go back to the UK for healthcare because she doesn't speak Spanish? It's horrible sitting in a hospital bed not knowing what the doctors and nurses are saying about you.
Think of all those lovely free holidays you could have had if you hadn't kept calling her a scrounger.

In reply to Post #682 Which country, France or England when you say "this"
Corbin was a tool, his manifesto was nonsense and he was well passed his sell by date. That's why Labour did.not get in, end of story. I can see why you and Geeki are a fan
Now we are under Boris rule. If Labour had the right man at the helm then we would not be here now would we?

Scrounger you plonker , what am i scrounging ,assumptions often lead to a foot in mouth scenario you plumb , iv'e grafted all my life , the French health care system is better than the uk's , as is the pensions ,as are the majority of EU countries now , just a fact !
Alas all my family are here so thats why i stay ,
This country needs huge changes , deluded peanuts like you barking up the wrong tree because they and you have lapped it up and voted accordingly are the problem .
It's the corrupt ********s that need chasing out of politics they are wrecking everything , all those that say they don't believe the press ad media certainly lapped it up regarding Corbyn !

In reply to Post #680 No. I have no political allegiance. I look at manifestos and people involved and vote for what is normally the best out of a bunch of crap. Whatever fits as closely to my own personal beliefs and opinions will get my vote.
