Anybody use the gas powered ones? And have any recommendations for them?

Interested in one for a extended France tip where the lake would have not electric on the site at all. More for food and Beer then bait tbh

Hi. We normally just get the Tesco plastic box. It holds about 25 kilos
Only costs about £10 and can double up as a seat. Normally put the bait in plus a couple of litres of Diluted orange juice and then freeze it all
Once empty normally use it to bring all the delicate stuff - reels etc home in
Also use it to make up seed in the summer -Half fill with seed and then Cover with boiling water overnight
Normally lasts about 4 days if you don’t keep opening it

I use a 25L iceytek, brilliant bit of kit, expensive but worth every penny. I get enough in it for a 3/4 day session or load it up with frozen meals if going to France. I've got 3 of their gel packs which i use dependant on how much stuff i've got in the box.

We use two of the Igloo Maxcold 58ltr boxed when we go away form a week (just a buddy and myself) and tend to put all the bait in one and food and day drinks in the other., The drinks are then topped up with fresh cold ones each day. You will be amazed how long everything lasts if yo pack it correctly and try not to open it every five minutes.

ive got 2 x 95l iceteks and they are brilliant, keeps things frozen for 5 days in real heat.use the frozen 2l bottles of water as ice packs as you can empty them out once defrosted not like loads of cool packs which add weight on pack up time

The iceytek are awesome but as you say expensive. But they will keep ice for a week if packed properly. I've got an igloo cold max and it's brilliant, but nothing on the iceytek. Had stuff frozen for 4 days even with regularly opening and restocking warm beers in, in the heatwave of 2 years ago. I've only got a 47l which is nowhere near big enough for a week alone though so I'm looking buying another one

I use a large polystyrene fish box to take boilies with ice packs. This is then taped and not touched until I need the bait.
I also do this with food/drink, but as they’re opened regularly I buy frozen ice cubes and change every 2/3 days. Works a treat and so much cheaper than buying cool boxes.

As trips are near enough back on and people will be travelling around Europe for there fishing holiday fixes, But what cool boxes are people using for the holiday trips

What sort of sizes for are people using for a weeks trip for food, drinks and bait and how long can they keep stuff frozen?

The Icey tek ones look good but seem rather expensive
