Was a member a couple of years ago. There is still a road to the top lake, would probably have to ask permission to drive up there but can’t see it being a problem

The lower lake is easier with smaller fish than the top lake, but there are some nice fish to go at in the top lake and if you get it right could have a decent days fishing up there. Would probably say lower is better for you dad. I’ve seen on Facebook they have a new owner now as well

I might be taking my elderly dad fishing for a day soon. He likes to float fish for tiddlers and a number of years ago, I took him to Churchgate and we fished the top lake (not the 'members' lake - owner kindly let us drive up because my dad was in a wheel chair at the time) he did his thing and I went for the carp. Just wondering what its like over there now and which lake would be better to suit us both - top lake again or the lower one?
