Any current discount codes for them??

In reply to Post #1 My Mrs pre ordered me a rucksack last Christmas, after waiting almost 4 months for it (a month after release) I went elsewhere, mainly due to being told lies when they were going to be receiving the product. Went on the internet and got it elsewhere for £5 dearer.

In reply to Post #50
Yeah tell me about it! Just don't tell the Mrs

In reply to Post #49 Especially as a small brown paper bag can contain more than £50 worth of stuff you probably don't need.

In reply to Post #48 Aladin's Cave, you just can't beat a good old fashioned mooch around a tackle shop can you ? And that's what costs us money

Bought a few things off them during lockdown and had no issues. Was fairly nervous about ordering from them due to their reputation, but they were spot on.
To be fair Johnson Ross, Tacklebox, TFT, Harefields have all been brilliant during lockdown. All the more reason to continue avoiding Angling Direct.
Have just moved to Devon and went to Summerlands the other day, what an Aladdins cave.

In reply to Post #46 Not had no problems paid for the 10 free deliver for a year and its been great. Bought a pair of chub boots that had the soles falling on. I emailed them sent a picture then sqent them back. Replacement pair arrive a few days later all good .
The next day deliver is great.
The only think they need is more stock on the site they seem limited certain brands which is a shame.

In reply to Post #45 I appreciate they are busy but a reply to a message they have read takes seconds.

In reply to Post #42 I'm not making any excuses for TFT, but if ever you go up there, it's mental. They really are a busy outfit. Lorries dropping new kit off and delivery lorries being loaded with pallet loads of gear. If they're running on low staff, it must be crazy at their place. I don't work for them by the way; just a punter who pops in there from time to time as it's really local to me.
You got to think Berners Hall is probably rammo'd with anglers and blokes are always popping into the shop grabbing bits and pieces. I'd just keep ringing them or emailing them politely - as hard as that is when you've been given the run around. They are usually pretty helpful from what I've found in normal times.
Best of luck mate and hope you get it all sorted out.

In reply to Post #43 Il try the Jonathan Ross next time. Cheers mate. So annoying when I can see tft have read the message but ignore it

In reply to Post #42 Johnson Ross are good and dispatching pretty quickly (within a couple of days) at the moment. TFT I have the year premium delivery and they’ve dispatched next day every time though.
Angling Direct are terrible unless you don’t mind waiting weeks. At least they’re honest and quote 12-14 working day delivery, but even in the current situation why is it taking a big company 10+ days to dispatch orders?
I’ve bought from all 3 in the last couple of weeks, AD are the one I won’t use unless I can’t get it from anywhere else.

In reply to Post #1 Right little update. I sent the brolly back on Monday just gone for a refund. I have messaged total fishing tackle numerous times which they have read but still not received a reply or a refund. They will use the excuse they are short staffed but that’s not an excuse tbh. Takes seconds to reply. My mate has also ordered some items and paid for premium delivery and they haven’t even dispatched Them yet. That really isn’t good enough. They shouldn’t offer a premium delivery if they can’t fulfil it. They have been a shambles lately. What sites do you guys use instead ?

Cheers Swainy but that didn’t work.

I managed to find a discount code for total fishing a month or so ago.
Anyone know one currently working?
As Tesco say ‘Every little helps’!

In reply to Post #36 Ironic really when you think about they used to be one of the same company from what I best understand. I did ask why no spares and the guy who took the call said "we just don't do any." I also wish they'd make a proper winter wrap for it. As good as the skullcap wrap thing is, it's not a proper wrap.
Something I did forget to mention: my Pioneer never came with pegs and strangely enough it was Total Fishing Tackle that I bought it from and it was they who sent me out a new set of pegs, though they was the goofy blue ones that Aqua do.

In reply to Post #35 He's in the garden pushing up.daises... lol.
Maybe it's just a specific thing down to the Pioneer. I was able to get spares for a Compact, though that was just the poles, not sure about the rest of it.

In reply to Post #34 Those ****ty trakker ones you can buy spare fronts for

In reply to Post #34 I bet the dog got a bollocking
Interesting one though if people want spares, sounds like they are all going to be out of luck.

In reply to Post #33 It's a shame my dog put a hole in the mesh; he gets a bit lively when I cast out and wants to get the rig I'm casting out.
Although it's not a massive hole - bout the size of a fag and another one a bit smaller - I could repair it myself but I'm sure it would look well pone, so I phoned Aqua just for a replacement door section of the mesh... which they can't sell me as they don't stock them, or the whole front section. I don't know if this is just for the Pioneer or their bivvys in general, but suffice to say it's pretty disappointing.
Maybe Aqua are selling shed loads of Pioneers that they can't supply spares simply due to demand - not that I've ever seen another one on the bank. Most anglers I see are using those ****y Trakker things that are all the rage.

In reply to Post #32 Tells a story that I guess. Must, just import the whole lump and don’t hold spares. Surprised me that
In reply to Post #31 "So you ****ed it, why would aqua or tft get involved"
Pretty sure he wanted to buy a replacement mesh, not get it for free. Would have been good customer service to sell him one...

In reply to Post #23 So you ****ed it, why would tft get involved

In reply to Post #26 Apologies. My fault as I should have explained how comes it got a hole in the mossi mesh. My dog made the hole in it as I have to put him in the bivv as he loses his marbles when I cast out. This wasn't due to poor manufacturing, just my dog having a spaz attack

In reply to Post #25 Will check it out.

In reply to Post #23 Edit:
misunderstanding, deleted

In reply to Post #23 There is a Aqua page on FB where ****loads of people are complaining about the 100 and 150......

In reply to Post #23 Where did you buy it from and how long ago
Do you still have the receipt

In reply to Post #22 Not particularly an Aqua fanboi per se, though I've got a fair few of their bits 'n' bobs... I think it a bit of a stretch to call out the Aqua faithful for being mugs essentially. Got the Pioneer 2019 and couldn't be more happier. I'd say it's hands down the most well made bit of kit I've ever bought.
I've no idea how much truth to your claim of loads of problems with the 150 version there is as you've not provided verifiable evidence to back up such a claim, although what you say may very well be the case. If it is true that there are problems with the 150 version, obviously it's down to the factory in China pumping them out, which does happen, like a pair of expensive wellies I bought some weeks back that I had to send back as they leaked straight out of the box.
If you've got any links to problems with the 150 Pioneer I'd love to see them as I have been interested in it for a bit more room. Incidentally, I have been a bit disappointed in Aqua as I've got a hole in my mossi mesh on my 2019 Pioneer and Aqua don't stock any replacements for them...TF? Apparently I've got to get it repaired by someone they recommend, which to me is next to useless as I fish every weekend and sometimes during the week.

In reply to Post #21 Loads of the new pioneers have issues with seams and holes but the Aqua faithful keep falling for the hype!!
TFT are naughty, were advertising 6 gas canisters for £24 so you think £4 a can is good value only for the Coleman box to arrive saying 4 canisters with 2 free.......****s!!.....

In reply to Post #20 I still can't believe what my mate showed me today. He purchased a aqua pioneer 150 and the dedicated skull cap from tft and after one session the taped seems starting to come loose etc. So he emailed them and showed them the pictures and asked if he they could arrange a replacement. They replied saying if you keep it will give you a partial refund of 10%. I couldn't believe it, like literally shocked. He sent me the screenshot of the email. Quite unbelievable and shocking. He obviously told them where to go
Use them quite a bit never had any problems with them at all.
I have purchased a few bits from TFT in the last few months with tackle shops being closed and no issues whatsoever.
3 out of 4 deliveries arrived the next day
In reply to Post #8 Always happy to give an update. After a little back and fourth, TFT were able to escalate the issue with the courier, and all is resolved.
In reply to Post #1 I used to really rate TFT, until the day I needed after sales support. Never again.
In reply to Post #1 Can’t blame TFT. Blame the manufactures who are supplying them. They come in boxed up and get sent out boxed up. Quality is from the manufacturer
I had the same from TFT with a Trakker bivvy that was damaged when I unboxed it and checked it in the garden. Contacted them, offered to swap it, can’t offer much more than that, found them fair. From my side I could not be bothered with all the hassle of sending it back ffs!!!
You pay all that money and it should be right first time. They should be quality checked and assured from the factory but that’s what you get buying Chinese *****
It would be nice if they could offer you the cash back, then send all the **** back to the suppliers, they made it, or had it made, they should deal with it all, not the customer
The issue isn’t getting stuff from them, can’t really knock them.
But trying to get a problem sorted is a total different story. The hassle I had trying to sort a Aqua wrap bag was unbelievable, Months it took to sort, promising to return calls which never happened, promising all sorts and tried to fob me off with a trakker bag which I refused.
Thing was they had them in stock and wouldn’t swap for one of them ones.
My advice is make sure you get the name of the person you spoke to 1st and then keep asking for them to afford getting kicked from pillar to post with promises.
Used Johnson Ross since

In reply to Post #13 I am the same tbh, never had a problem with them, brought 6 items off them so far, most delivered within 5 days including the day after which surprised me
In reply to Post #12 I rarely knock or praise any entity but have recently bought 12 rods and a few other Chub bits and pieces from Total Fishing Tackle due to the excellent prices during "the great Chub flog off". In my experience, can't fault any aspect of the service.
In reply to Post #11 I bought a pair of reels from them a couple of years ago which went awol with Yodel (imo the worst courier) and to be fair TfT did a a lot to get it resolved in chasing Yodel who were useless. They returned my calls and emails and we got it resolved in time for my sons bday. Also bought a bivvy during lockdown. And received it very quickly. Thought I would share these experiences for a bit of balance
In reply to Post #10 It is their responsibility to follow up with couriers in the case of issues though!
Always had great service from them. Couriers aren’t their fault. Yes they could change courier but you get problems with all of them. Just be glad it’s not Hermes!!
In reply to Post #1 I've always received good service from TFT.
Unfortunately it's the couriers they use that let the side down.
One one occasion a Carp Porter Barrow disappeared into thin air.
And another time a rod turned up that had been damaged in transit.
Despite the obvious sign that the cardboard tube plastic end caps were smashed to pieces, they still had the cheek to deliver it in that state, and on inspection the rod was damaged in several places and had to be returned.
Bought an X Boat with Toslon fishfinder and GPS. Was due to be delivered on the 10th June but looks to have been lost by UPS. In fairness, not their fault but now I need them to speak with UPS, which is proving very hard.
I've recently been using these after changing from Johnson Ross and received excellent service
Speak as you find, I've just had excellent service from them, bought a rod and reel, both in stock arrived 3 days later
In reply to Post #4 Also happy to take your money for items they don't have in stock, even though website states they are. Ridiculously slow at issuing a refund.
Another 1 to avoid in the future.
I used to use them all the time but the last two times have been a nightmare so sticking with johnson ross from now on. Total fishing will happily take your money but dont want to know when you have a problem.
In reply to Post #2 They have been a shambles during covid tbh. Take ages to respond to customers messages but they put pics up trying to sell **** every day
There's a lot to be said about after sales service, it's the difference between a good company and a great one. I can't understand with so much social media how companies think there going to come out of the situation smelling of roses.

Finally received my chub oukast brolly. Put it up to use the first time and there was a hole in one of the ribs and a pluck the length of the rib on another. Finally got hold of them and said could I have a refund as they have no more in stock or asked if they could send me a overwrap for the brolly which is £20 cheaper than I paid for the brolly. All they said they can do is let me have a overwrap for £30. Shambles
