We got back last night. Despite completing the locator form, passport control only wanted to see passports. No interest at all in our forms. Happy days.

And at Aqvatika in italy you must wear a mask in the office, can only use the freezer to freeze water and the fridge is out of use to minimise covid.

In france and italy you are expected to wear face covering in all public enclosed spaces. We did burger king on our way thru france and you must wear mask, sanitise hands and wear gloves to use the cashless ordering system. Tbf, it was well set up.

The message Brittany Ferries sent me for my trip said they are open but food is a reduced menu and in all communal areas you need to be masked up.

Think the shops will have reduced hours, but not a massive problem.

So, we are in the very quiet queue for the tunnel. Never seen it so empty. No issues or extra paperwork altho we were shocked that the french actually checked our passports!!!! Next stop calais 👍👍

Pretty sure that EHIC cards are still valid up until end of the year at least

While that wouldn’t cover repatriation it does give you access to state provided healthcare services.

Doesn't the FCO still advise against all but essential travel (worldwide) ??

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france. (Updated 18/06 & current advice as of 21/06)

Although this is likely to change imminently & by July it will probably be a free for all; its a bit concerning that people are obviously going over there Ignoring restrictions/guidance for a bit of fishing.........
