Totally agree about the stitching, it's not that great to be honest considering how much this bag costs.
After the second use of mine the seam that's about 2 foot up from the bottom end started to pull apart and looking closer at the stitching it's not really that great of a job, very poor quality.

Don't get me wrong, as said, a very warm bag in every situation, and I'm sure I am in the minority who has had a problem, but would have expected more from customer service in all honesty.

That’s really disappointing to hear. I was just about to purchase one but now I’m in two minds. I’ve used snugpak bags for hiking and have a sleeka jacket and salopettes and never had a problem with them but as this bag costs £200 plus I’m having second thoughts. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I’d be interested to know.

Snugpak Techlite Olive Sleeping Bag

So I took a fair age deciding on whether or not to spend so much money on a sleeping bag, which I purchased in March '18'. I don't know what I was expecting but on first impressions it looked as though it was a bit thin, not much good for winter, but I was wrong, the bag itself is plenty warm enough in every condition, in my experience with it, but you'd expect as much for a sleeping bag costing the best part of £250.

First use and impressions were very good. It was also not too bulky which was a bonus as I am already an 'over-loader' when it comes to going on a session.

It started to go down hill after about a year and half, now I only ever wear shorts (without zips) and a t-shirt in the sleeping bag, no matter what the conditions, it has and was plenty warm enough in the Snugpak to be able to do so, but November of last year I suddenly felt the internal filling, a seam had come away whilst in use, so I e-mailed Snugpak from the bank to see if they could either replace (worth a chance), or repair the sleeping bag and all I basically got back was that it was no longer under warranty, not even a mention of whether they could repair it or not. It's still to this day sitting at home with a hole in (got a seamstress now who will patch it up for me at some point).

Something that you pay a premium for, UK made (could have come something made in China for a third of the price), you'd expect a bit more quality than a seam coming away, and then to at least be offered a repair on it, it's what I would expect anyway. Very disappointed.

So my overall scores for the Snugpak Techlite Olive Sleeping Bag:

Warmth: 5 (out of 5)

Weight: 5

Quality: 3 (probably would have been a 5 had the seam not come apart)

Customer service: 0 (shoddy stuff from them)

Overall value: 3 (again, would have been a 5 had the issue and the customer service not arisen)
