Some cracking tracks to listen to on here, cheers guys

Fell down the you tube wormhole last night

Went through a few tracks then

this
Popped up.
As I was trying to make a dent in the mountain of raw images I want to edit, I went for some visual inspiration

this is beautiful

Then from that I had some Clapton, and after scozzas Eminem reference I was thinking of that little Eric fell off the terrace line
And ended up
here

Everyone needs a bit of Jeff now and then.

This is a big song

Another great singer-songwriter was Elliott Smith - another tragic end too!
Early stuff was all solo acoustic, later with more instrumentation.
Genius songwriter.

Couple from his last album.

No John Cale's version is better.

And the version by that X=factor bird who looks like a man in drag is ****.

Talking of Reed/Cale do yourselves a favour and listen to Songs For Drella

He's got the same birthday as me and Jon Bon Jovi too... (and Dr Suess!)

Prefer Perfect Day from him - beautiful song

And if you still haven't found your way to Jeff Buckley, his version of Hallelujah is one of the finest songs in existence (keebs will back me up on that)

That Newton Faulkner Bohemian Rhapsody is just brill!

His version of Teardrop is damn good too. Now there's a dance track... (the original)

Stereophonics 'Local boy...' That whole 1st album. from Same Size feet to Billy davey's Daughter. Not a bad song on there...

here's one of my favourites from a while back. bit obscure but what a guitarist! played on 'Walk the dinosaur' I believe. The awesome Stevie Salas...

Stereophonics best tune still goosebumps me.

First heard it live when they demo'd it V2 records launch party. They had 6 bands, 2 songs each.
Local boy was one of them. Blown away by a voice like that coming out of essentially a child's action figure
Stereophonics were the only one worth anything, and probably the only one ever heard of again!
They always seem to play it too slow these days - I miss the old fire.
I think saw the best of them to be honest, when Stuart was still around (God rest him!) Much as I love them they've not been the same since.
Dakota was a bit of a return to form though.
