In reply to Post #561 That whole 'Rats' album is top notch George Clinton even pops up on it) - criminal that she wasn't a bigger success when you think of some of the weak warblers that have been.
Always loved that Sam Brown track
And Nikka Costa.... hooooo! wow! thankyou for that one

In reply to Post #559 glad you're back mate
nil illigitimi desperandum (probably incorrect latin but you can likely work it out...)
If you like your singers bluesy and ballsy....
Sass Jordan - her 'Rats' album was brilliant and featured the amazing Stevie salas on guitar so all good for me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sdk8JThY-Aw&list=PLBuufcxz5F6Ns_NrhdNRzYYuav4DdFVIX - pissin down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myXZSAQ_unY&list=PLBuufcxz5F6Ns_NrhdNRzYYuav4DdFVIX&index=2 - high road easy

In reply to Post #551 I'm hooked. Got the guitar out and learning it now. There's a live cover of her doing 'hallelujah' that's almost as brilliant too. Wonder if she needs a backing singer.... 😄
Adele leaves me a bit meh. She needs to flippin cheer up! I do like 'hello' though

In reply to Post #550 Yeh, there's something about her. Might give that a go on a premium service, I reckon it suffers a fair bit on you tube.
Didn't goosebump me like when I first heard adeles hometown glory though

So, by accident I discovered this song last night on a Spotify shuffle thing.
Can't stop listening to it and am going to find as much of her music as I can. She's called Brandi Carlile and she's got the best voice I've heard since I discovered Muse.
https://youtu.be/o8pQLtHTPaI - The Story. Listen to it all the way through and be blown away like I was....
