A 25kg zander seems kinda big mate. That would be the world record

What country are you going to, and what kind of water will you fish? I mean, rivers, lakes, canals? I don't think you're going to find a rod and reel that will be suitable for esp, zander, pike and catfish at the same time tbh.

Get in touch with somebody like ottos over there mate. You have rods and reels much better suited to spinning than we do, they’ll be able to advise on a set up suited to line bs and casting weight you need.
Would’ve thought something suitable for Barra will handle the cats, 5000-5500 reel

I do more lure fishing than I do carp these days. Basically you don't need big rods just about around 7ft rods do the job. And basically a rod which will cast the weight of lures your using. Just small 1000 size reels or maybe 3000 if you're using 30lb plus line. When it comes to line always use braid unless if that's banned then use fluorocarbon.

Hi All,

I'm planning a trip to Europe to do some predator fishing, it's gonna be lure fishing only as deadbaits are banned on the venue.
Venue holds pike (25 kilo plus), zander (25 kilo plus), asp (8 kilo plus) and catfish (50 kilo plus).
I was looking for an appropriate rod and reel as I haven't done this type of fishing for years and I've stumbled into a complete internet minefield.
If any members would be kind enough to point me in the right direction rod and reel wise it would be greatly appreciated

Best

Jon
