One of the junkies that patrol the local Sainsburyís picking up fat butts scavenged half a benson some lads chucked on the floor earlier. So they gave him a rizla and minuscule nugget of weed, he looked made up!
Peace and love man..... peace and love

Hiya mate

I can see where you are coming from but we can't assume that all homeless people are going to sell whatever they have to feed a habit - even if some might. Otherwise we'd fall into the trap of not helping anyone...

It's going to help some people and for that it's a thumbs up

stay safe

Totally agree with this being a good thing

But not meaning to demean this gesture but if they are being housed surely there must be landlines at these premises to be used. It is just giving them an asset that will be bartered, sold or stolen. Having dealt with the homeless many have drug, alcohol issues and a lot of them don't want contact with families, friends or companions.

How did they survive/live before CV and why didn't she promote this then. These will be basic phones with a £10 card probably so big headlines showing she cares for an outlay of possibly £1000 but its probably still more than the Bransons and Ashleys of this world!

Sorry this is supposed to be a good news thread

they'll be given to people who are being supported by Crisis and those who have been temporarily homed in hotels.

most of us take for granted being able to just speak to a friend or family member. it's a little thing but a good thing

Morning BB

Hell yeah - 5.5 million and counting. Absolutely fantastic.

As for the other stuff, let's discuss elsewhere maybe? Shall I meet you on the other thread?

Hi Mal,

Well yes, you did raise the issue.
And I then thought it positive of me to point out, there's another side to the story that is never reported by our press, on the odd occasions they cover US politics.
I wonder whether you were aware of some of the facts, not opinion, that I pointed out?

Today's good news, fantastic that Tom Moore's efforts have, as I write, now raised an astonishing £5.5 million. An elderly, English, WW2 veteran, wearing his medals, shuffling along with his walker, has certainly struck a chord with so many. Captain Tom is a sort of metaphor for, and an echo of the British bulldog spirit.

BB.

Hi BB

My mistake. I should never have mentioned trump on what I am hoping to keep a positive thread.

Happy to discuss him elsewhere, but for today I'll instead focus on the second part of my post and captain Tom Moore who it seems has more innate goodness in him than the entire US senate put together. A truly inspirational effort that he and his family can be rightly proud of.

And tinhead and his Easter egg frenzy of course....

Peace and love all

Hi Jon,

Calling the attack dog hacks fake news is about all Trump can say without outright abuse and he's largely right because their agenda is only to try and discredit him in any way they can by invention or omission.
Some Democrats are a pretty nasty bunch, like Maxine Waters who called on Dems to confront Republican officials in the street or a cafe, shop etc. and surround, jostle and abuse them.
Antifa rove in masked gangs, threatening Republican supporters and hipocritically act like the Nazis they accuse the Republicans to be.
Perhaps the most cynical act was Jussie Smollett, the black, minor actor, staging a racist attack by supposed white Trump supporters wearing MAGA hats.
Re MAGA hats, there are many documented instances of people wearing them, being abused, attacked and denied service in shops and cafes.

Anyway, in view of your impertinent, personal remarks ranged against me, I shall be recommending to the mods that you be handcuffed to Tommy Robinson for a day.
That is my best thought for the day.

BB.
