So Roche are supplying the 'game changing' antibody test.

It wasn't the German car industry that saved the day after all, it was a Swiss healthcare firm.

Surely proud brexiteers would prefer to wait for the JCB/Dyson/Weatherspoons version?

I know someone who works for the council and has had her arm twisted into testing people , meant to be for frontline and key workers , she said they have the capacity to do thousands per day , one day last week only 6 turned up , they were stood around doing nothing , they pass the bag through the car window and tell them where to stick it , no seriously , they do , then it's placed in a container and off it goes , no wonder so many are negative ! ,

Prepare yourselves for a rant when RRRRRRRRR goes above 1 again , i don't think we are going to have to wait long !

Can he no get another test over weekend and the see how that comes back. Another negative would be good but gives him a few more days to clear whatever he has and then hopefully be good for middle of next week.

Earlier this morning I heard that they reckon that London had 200,000 positives on day of lockdown so it was already here at that rate it would only take 20 days to infect London. So probably why they have such a low infection rate 24 in a day probably the whole of London may have had it and itís moved on elsewhere.

The had it test should be given to key workers first and then rolled out. To be quite honest I would pay a reasonable amount for a test to set my mind at rest and allow me to make more informed decisions 😀

hiya spanker

well - a negative test is good news if you can rely on it. I think you're making the right decision in terms of asking him to wait before coming in to work. everyone is safer that way

I'd say his mum needs to consider a call to 111 if it doesn't get any better and a trip to the hospital might at least put you all at ease...

I spoke to a mate of mine today who I'd not heard from in a bit - turns out he was very close to shuffling off this mortal coil with C-19. Ambulance job to the hospital and then a stay on the ventilator! He's had chest issues for a while and you can't afford to be taking any risks with it.

stay safe mate

So , tests for my nephew , his mum and girlfriend have just come back negative , thing is i'm now thinking , do i trust the test ,his Mum is quite ill , dry cough , the shi*s with a bad headache , nephew is desperate to get some £££ earned with me , i have had to say no , i'm just waiting to see how his Mums symptoms develop over the weekend , i felt a bit of a cu*t telling him he can't work , for now , he's a good lad and he understood ! iv'e known the plumber who is with me next week for 40 years , since secondary school and he ain't happy with too many people on the job , same problems as me regarding his chest , breathed in a bit too much crap over the years and a bit of dust triggers a reaction , so we have to watch it or "stay alert "

We need this antibody test from Roche to be rolled out to everybody in the country , i'm a bit pissed off that they aren't selling the rights to develop it so more countries can produce it ,as it is "the game changer " that we have been waiting for , i think we have ordered 4 million , about 1 in every 15 people

oh yes , Boris is a useless twa*

Definitely coupled with people using it as a GP drop in centre and you get a massive drop.
Having said that though surely there must be an increase in people with mental health problems needing to use A&E?

Bob. One of my oldest mates has a wife and daughter both Paramedics. A&E is apparently full at weekends
Of drinking/ violence and sports related injuries. Lockdown maybe curtailed some of that tomfoolery.
