400... a figure much lower than when everyone was together on beaches, at football celebrations, raves and protests and the cases didnít rise.

It's an arbitary figure because it's a best guess. If you know an exact figure please let us know what it is and how you worked it out.

I was wondering how they arrived at the seemingly arbitrary number of 6

It seems they deployed an algorithm after the huge success with the exams this year.

The simple equation is as follows

W + F ◊ 3

That's ' Wayne + friends of Wayne ◊ 3'

Obviously it's not an exact science given that the idea of Wayne and his friend (hi scozza) multiplying is a horrific prospect, and the discounting of the many imaginary friends has to be considered.

After listening to the announcement you can only laugh canít you.

One child takes it in, the teacher, all classmates, their parents, their parents colleagues at work, the colleagues children, the colleagues childrenís classmates, all at risk of it. Not to mention siblings at different schools/classes then multiplying the risk out. << this is deemed safe and little risk...

But donít meet in groups more than 6 otherwise youíll spread the virus

It's young adults (not school kids) that are fuelling the spike in Covid cases... They must be bored of it all...

On Monday Mr Hancock warned the UK could see a second spike in coronavirus cases if young people did not follow the rules.

His comments were echoed by Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick, who said there was a particular responsibility on younger people to follow government guidelines on Covid-19, so that infection rates would not spike again.

"We have to keep hammering the message home. Of course the people in those age categories are unlikely to become extremely unwell as a result of having the virus.

"But they are able to pass it on to others," he said.

"There's a responsibility on younger people to not just stay at home, obviously to go out and go to work and to enjoy pubs and restaurants, but to do so in accordance with the guidelines."

Mr Jenrick also said the UK was entering a "period of particular concern" with the number of coronavirus cases rising, adding "we all have to be very cautious".

Why are infections rising now, 500,000 packed on a beach, marches/riots/protests, raves and parties. The amount going into hospital and deaths are roughly the same, although 30 deaths today was up on previous weeks but maybe catching up on data, Iím no denier of the disease but something ainít right 😡

Iím not sure at this moment which is supposed to be the dead cat on the table, the infection rate or the Brexit debarcle with the law change and to be quite honest I donít think the government knows either 😡

Be wary of that. Spanish figures include antibody positive tests as new cases even though the virus has run its course. So they are artificially high.
