In reply to Post #208 That’s interesting then.
6 are at home and some are out and about. Can’t see how the self isolation works, what if they come back and catch something a few weeks after from the team that’s out and about, does this lead to a constant cycle? This is probably an example of a smaller case?

In reply to Post #205 Can’t see it. I’ve just had my cancellation notice through for the TT today ffs, bike ready the lot, let’s hope I get a full refund
I’m guessing this is going to go on for months, even a year!
Reflecting on what’s said below and other country’s, we will pull the plug when it’s far too late. I have members of staff with cold like symptoms, HR can’t make a decision to save their lives, useless ****s, I suspect it’s the same at most places

Im in pretty good health have always been fit and have trained 3 times a week since retiring from competetive karate 2 years ago when i trained 4 or 5 times a week for 24 years or thereabouts , anyhow i have just got off the phone to my mate who lives in spain ,Barcelona to be exact , he is telling a very different story of whats happening as to what i have seen on the news, his neighbour died last week aged 55 and his family have well just disappeared ! He cant believe the uk is not in total lockdown , nothing is open apart from grocery shops , he says it is really eerie and he is becoming quite scared ,
I have,nt taken much notice of this until i spoke to him , wish i had,nt ****in rang him now !!

In reply to Post #202 Nearly 70k out of a population of 10 million. Less than 1%.
Plenty of Italians back and forth to China on business. I know two who travel there regularly.

In reply to Post #200 Inaction from the UK gov appears deliberate. Maybe working on the assumption that if everyone else shuts down we won't need to, as it's being done for us. Lesson the economic impact.

That 'buckets' video is ok. It's easy to understand, but ...
Italy has a more or less similar sized 'population' bucket.
The intensive care beds available in Lombardy (north Italy) are nearly twice as many as UK average, so the 'little bucket' is bigger.
Italy closed schools over 3 weeks ago, complete lockdown 10 days ago, and yet DESPITE these measures the flow from the big bucket is over the top of the little one and all over the bloke's feet. This means mortality rates near 8% here.
This came from nowhere in Italy, we looked round and the tidal wave was there. The authorities shut things down fast, despite criticism that they were going too far (I thought so when the schools shut).
Boris has been watching the tidal wave approach over the last few weeks, why he hasn't done more already is beyond me.
