In reply to Post #4479 I don’t think so Jon, it’s always been like this and will continue to be like this! Once in power you look after your own and voting doesn’t change anything, that’s an lllusion so you think you have a say on making things better when the reality is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer......

In reply to Post #4478 Competitive tendering processes have ensured various governments don't just hand lucrative deals to their mates.
This process was suspended when Covid-19 hit. Unfortunately, this didn't mean the government bought what it needed sharpish, without delay, it meant they saw a chance to hand lucrative deals to their mates.
Wayne, your defence of this Tory government 'because it is/was just as bad somewhere else/in the past' is laughable, and your willingness to bend over, grasp your ankles and take whatever Johnson and his pals give you is pathetic.

In reply to Post #4475 A builder with ethics that's a rarity. So you when you price up a job you would never bump it up a little if you thought the customer had pots of money and could afford it?

As long as i have enough to get by on , i don't really give a monkeys , not bothered about fancy cars etc , doing the right thing by people and not taking the pi** are ethics i have always practiced as a builder !
We now have a government where honest people are not welcome as they might rock the boat , the only reason i liked Corbyn , he was honest , not corrupt , thats what scared them to death and led to the whirlwind of smears and lies !

In reply to Post #4470 Spanky, if you could sit on your arse and earn millions are you saying you wouldn’t be up for that? Corruption is exactly that and some.......once in a privileged position of power it’s easy to be blinded by the money being chucked around I reckon and most would fall for it.......

So , as recently stated by the bent bulsh** and bluster brigade ,Nadim Zahawi will oversee the distribution of our vaccine , although some are recently reported as wanting the Trump version !
Zahawi with his undeclared interests in various investment companies registered offshore , also his other interests in oil producing companies and companies in Iraq , nothing to see here though
This lot are as bent as fu** ! we will be paying the tab for this shi*storm for many years to come while they amass fortunes !
What ever happened to hyperbole BB , is he keeping his head down after backing Boris and co ?

In reply to Post #4466 'Corvid-19' ... easy mistake to make mate, hasn't been in the news much. FFS
Seems a strange time to be supporting Trump?
Nothing better than the scientifically illiterate talking vaccines ... it's like your mother-in-law's opinions on carp bait.
Google 'Dunning Kruger Effect' - don't worry, there are pictures

In reply to Post #4466 did they change the word 'covid' to 'corvid' too?
so is the vaccine actually disinfectant / bleach? or is it a way of injecting light into the body as Trump also suggested?
no. it's not is it?
i was listening to a virologist (not some corrupt man child) on the radio and his explanation was very good. In very simple terms - always useful for trump supporters - elements of the Covid virus were grafted onto another virus which had been 'disabled' to create the vaccine. When injected it encourages the natural production of antibodies which are the body's defence against the virus.
it's early days and they are mid process. but I'd rather a light at the end of the tunnel than it being forced into my veins by some orange buffoon....

To all those that mocked Trump when he said maybe there could be a disinfectant that could work against Corvid-19 (and most mis-quoted him by changing the word disinfectant to bleach) should not be so quick to laugh at him now.
The so called vaccine for the virus IS NOT a a vaccine.
HOW A TRUE VACCINE WORKS
Vaccines reduce risks of getting a disease by working with your body’s natural defences to build protection. When you get a vaccine, your immune system responds.
The Corvid-19 is made up of chemicals to fight the virus (if you get it) and last so they think up to 18 months!
I know where they can stick this product, (I wont call it a vaccine) and it wont be in me.
