Missus spoke to her Italian friend yesterday and said to her that the UK could be like Italy in a few weeks. Her friend said not necessarily, the British tend to listen, take heed and act on the advice given whereas the Italians tend to do their own thing. Only one persons view but it makes you think.

Yeah right. It's the UK where people are fighting over bog roll and call 999 when KFC ran out of chicken, isn't it.

I'm in the worst bit of Italy, folk are doing as recommended, listening to the experts, and there's still Andrex on the shelves.

I would imagine it won't be as bad in the UK because people don't have such close contact with older family members and Italy has a really old population.

I hope things never get as bad there as they are here, but it'll be despite, rather than because of the way the British behave.

Been advised by doctor to carry on but avoid unnecessary trips,

Just do what the doctor says Jim, for now anyway

Im in a dilemma, Iím high risk with a lung problem, got a cough/chesty, had it on and off for two years, having tests etc, could be COPD could be just asthma , but no definite analysis, itís flared up again this week, Been advised by doctor to carry on but avoid unnecessary trips, I could easily self isolate but in two weeks we could be in lockdown so Iíd be isolated again....I canít go a month in isolation, got a family to feed, donít know what to do for the best

Far too sensible jimmer

You will never be health minister with that kind of basic logical argument.

Agree. On the news last night it said if we feel like we have cold symptoms over the next couple of weeks we should self isolate. Are they saying we should all be OK after this???

Easy ainít it. We could easily put this to bed...

I can see why. The latest government advice is to self isolate and **** yourself all week

Iíve heard on the news itís all the southerners buying all the bog roll, and pasta. Up here were licking door handles trying to get an extra week off work

Yes. Eye of the storm here in lombardia. And I can't even go fishing now they've shut everything down.

Keep calm and roll bait.

The weird thing to me about all this is, I haven't seen a single post on Faceache saying something like 'we are sorry to announce that last night we lost Grandad to the coronavirus' or the MSM actually naming anyone that has died from it, I'd expect the Sun etc to have a front cover with a roll call of the deceased so far, they love that sort of thing

maybe I've just missed it
