"Nobody knows how many have had it not everyone with symptoms has been tested."

Exactly and the antibody testing and validation program( which is country/community wide) is finding very few have contracted it.
Regardless of little Billy had a chest infection in January or Jane had a dry cough in February :- they've had it.

Government testing has been a shambles you're right.

I now know how most footballers must feel when they watch Messi...

Off to bury my guitars in shame.

Yes the official figure is valid because of the positive tests, that bits obvious, but how many times have they said Asymptomatic and minor responses?

Nobody knows how many have had it not everyone with symptoms has been tested.

Out of 10 close family members 7 have had severe flu symptoms similar to Covid, from December and into lockdown. We don't live in each others pockets so infected separately at different times. We are a family who don't visit if we have a cold or the likes anyway. No tests were done during symptoms as they weren't around or available at the time. No one knows if anyone or everyone had it?

Whats happened to the 3 million game changing antibody tests, the vaccine tests and the new spit in a tube test?

All supposedly forgotten about because people can go to the PUB

The lockdown was to late and abused by to many to be effective as the stats show, no spike after riots, marches, beaches and raves. Does this mean it was more widespread than thought and people are immune without realising? or is it losing it'd potency? or some other reason?

The official stats are as near to fact as you can get or we're fooling ourselves. Are you saying the lockdown was too effective? I've said before my brother is a scientist now working on COVID-19 testing and is part of the antibody testing and validation program. The boffins he talks to indicate a tiny percentage of the population has had COVID-19 already.

The official stats are just window dressing. When this first kicked off and everybody was told to isolate they were quoting 200,000 possible new infections a day. Nobody could get a test it was sit at home until you cant handle the symptoms.

With the R rate at 3 at that time, it would have taken a week to infect the whole country using their statistics.

So the people infected in the UK is nowhere near the infected figure. No stats to show how many have recovered but the figure still stands at 300,000 infected. So 60,000 deaths would show 240,000 recovered.

Until the antibody test is made available to everyone no one will know the true extent of the spread. And even then its still unknown if you don't develop antibodies.

I am not a Covid denier but someone needs to ask the right questions, not whether my eyesight will improve if i visit Barnard Castle. Again window dressing on all sides to distract from the true figures, cost and was it worth shutting down the economy!

No, that's not selfish. What has happened in some parts of the economy has been catastrophic and for all those in the entertainment sector (including my wife) it is hard to see how things can get back to the way things were. Even if they allowed concerts to start up again would you really want to be in a crowd of dancing, sweating and singing people? You'll have heard the story of the (NY?) choir in which one infected member infected loads of others.

Advertisers/sponsors are coming back and spending again, with their (our) money and a bigger audience it could help, backed up by government assistance. We all need to do more, I'm trying to spend less on stuff I don't need on Amazon and more on the entertainment that I'm unable to support in person. Podcasts, streaming, donations via tip-jars or Ko-Fi, they help the artists and to a very small degree the people behind the scenes.

I'd love to see more being done to assist smaller artists onto mainstream TV. Okay, it won't be the same as a live set in a dingy pub but it will be better than wall to wall Homes Under The Hammer.

Read that. Seems to say that overcrowding in households is more significant that population density which seems to make sense

The Atlantic

This is worth a read on the difficulties of using population density. The New York and San Francisco death rates are so markedly different yet their population density is similar. It should stand to reason that the closer people are to each other the better the chances of contracting the virus but then you read this.

All you can go off are the official stats till the antibody testing is in place. That's the rock and a hard place this government is in. Everything is a guesstimate and it's governments duty to protect UK lives.
