If you think how I described Johnson - unreliable, lazy and a liar is 'gratuitous abuse', then you should have tried using a big torch during the night at Yately in the late 80s.

Hi Jon,

Whether you support a particular party or not, your political bias is certainly left wing, look how you just insulted a Tory prime minister with a string of abuse. If memory serves, I think you see Trump in the same light. You don't believe a country has a right to sovereignty and self rule.

On the other thread, perhaps your posts were not abusive to everyone who disagreed with you, but you see that as a virtue? " I didn't abuse everyone, so that's good."
I apologised for misrepresenting you, are you ever going to apologise for abusing me?

Re the Coudenhove Kalergi plan, I find it extremely offensive too, but you conveniently twisted my question to suggest that I believed it. My question was, why does the EU celebrate it biannually with a Kalergi award to the European politician who has most forwarded the federal plan, with a grand gala celebration?
I also gave you the EU's own list of the most recent recipients, but you weren't up for answering that were you?

I'm well aware of the parameters of free speech and the role of constructive criticism and give it and accept it , but that has nothing in common with gratuitous abuse.

You say you hold elected politicians to account with a balanced, common sense view, but if you did that, you wouldn't hold a political leader to account with a string of abuse, that's not constructive criticism is it?

BB.

My 'leftist views on Brexit' .. there you go again with your assumptions. I was closer to Ken Clarke than Jeremy Corbyn in my support of remain. I've never had any particular gripe with leave voters, it's those who suggested that no-deal would be good for the country that I took issue with.

My posts were not abusive to everyone who disagreed with me. I called you a lunatic because you posted about there being an EU/Soros funded plan to replace the white British population with brown people. This is dangerous antisemitic xenophobic cobblers that has often been quoted by far right terrorists which I find extremely offensive.

I found your to Patrick Minford bizarre, but it seems that unquestioning allegiance is something you're good at.

Taking a criticism specifically directed at you, and then saying 'look lads, he insults us all' is another thing you're good at.

When the people running the country do something good - Nightingale Hospitals, economic support, etc. Fantastic, sing their praises.

But when they fail ... pull them up on it and they might get better as a result.

Whichever party they may be. Nothing right or left about it. Just holding elected people to account. Doesn't seem anything other than common sense to me.

And that illustrates my problem with the figures coming out as Covid19 is a notifiable disease if you have it when you die you go down on the count for that day irrespective of whether it actually contributed to you dying or not.

Hi Jon,

My thinking you were a labour supporter was also assumed on your leftist view on Brexit and your abusive posts to anyone who opposed it, like when you called me a lunatic or something similar. If you remember, I refused to debate you because all you replied with was insults.
I can see you're not stupid, so you have no excuse for that behaviour.
Anyway I apologised for my false assumption and for you to equate a reasonable mistake as being akin to viewing the world in black and white is insulting and disengenuous, and you know it, because I'm not stupid either.
As far as the rules of the lockdown are concerned, they have been repeated like a mantra on TV at every opportunity and the police know full well the powers afforded them to enforce it and have made arrests when necessary. You're trying to spin a confusion that doesn't exist and you well know it.

Trump is sombody that got his money from is farther and as for a business man he has lost hundreds of millions of pounds.
So what the BJ went to Oxford that means nothing he has cocked up ever position that he has been in. This is a man that is happy to unveil a statue of a Nazi sympathiser during a general election but craps himself when asked to do a tough interview.
Now I try not to say to much about politics as I know that it can get heated but when it comes to what is happening right at this moment in time this man and the Conservative's are the ones to blame for the needless loss of life to people. Not only the general public but people that are doing a job to save us and to provide for us.
As soon as people can just accept responsibility and stop trying to deflect blame and play party politics then things can be done to stop something like this happening again because for many it's already to late this time around.

Sorry if I sound angry but the fact is I am. I am angry that people made a discussion to play Russian rollette with not only my life but with my friends and families

Not all Tori's are bad

Tori Amos is great. Under the Pink, 1994. Fantastic album. And it's got a big picture on the front of the lp sleeve.

Just saying

'all Tories are bad' - political bias.

'the govt did something wrong' - not political bias.

I don't really see how you can complain about people seeing things as black and white when you yourself immediately assumed I was a Corbyn supporter based solely on my criticism of the actions of the current government.

Well or sick, Boris Johnson is unreliable, lazy, and a proven liar. This would still be true if he defected to the lib Dems tomorrow.

Rishi Sunak would do a much better job.

The police are trying to enforce 'advice', if Easter is sunny, they'll be pulling their hair out ... Yet where is the home secretary to tell people exactly what they can and can't do? Who exactly is in charge? Could they implement stricter measures even if they wanted to? Don't tell me, it's complicated ... See the bigger picture...

Yes but Covid 19can bring on both in so if they had it that's why it's recorded that way. The question is did they die of it or did they die with it

Hi Jon,

That story is significant in regard to the many European countries that are struggling to overcome the virus.
Most of which are making available many £ billions to support their businesses and workers.
I think it's scandalous that the EU refused to fund Prof Ferrari's initiative to help in the research, based on the diktat that research has to be initiated from the bottom up.

Re the story of the vote against pay rises for medics, you say less than 3 years ago, I can honestly say that I have no clear recollection of it, even though my daughter is a nurse. I presume it was part of a pay review on public sector workers, but apart from that I'm not in a position to comment, unless I research back into it.

I would have thought that you would have understood the point I have been trying to make, and not with a political bias. My point has been that most issues are not like a the Sun headline where you are either a hero or a villain. Most issues are multi faceted and involve a bit of in depth scrutiny to get to a reasonable opinion of them. I try and judge issues on their merit without blind bias. You remember, I criticized the government on their policy of cherry picking foreign medics.
Many like their opinions in neat soundbites of black or white, when in reality, the world is mostly grey.
Mal worded it as trying to look at the big picture.

Hi BB

I know you find it hard to take when someone criticizes your great leader ,

reasoned objective , knee jerk ideology , behave ! Reuters , as you said , you don't research ! it's beginning to show !

Please , give me the reasons to believe in Boris or Trump regarding this corona virus !

If you have the backing of the establishment and press , anything is possible ! Trump and Johnson are the proof !
