The way you wrote the initial post does come across a bit "I ain't takin a risk to look after their effin kids, I'll see em in court"

It's still unclear how it's going to work, either for key workers or sen kids,

Then again they do have a choice of no or yes to do it.

Do teachers have a choice? If precautions are taken and it's deemed that risks have been minimised then do they have a choice of not turning up for work but still expect to be paid?

Why ask a rhetorical question. Then add the details...

Why ask the question, really are you serious?.

Interesting to read other people’s views on this, that’s why i asked.

It may come as a shock but teachers aren't stupid... (mostly)

The request for staff to supervise smaller cohorts of children is made with the understanding that some staff may be single and healthy whilst others may have family and health considerations

Those who volunteer will do so without pressure and with a real desire to do what is best for the students and their families and their fellow staff members. Senior management will be stepping up to do their part too.

Who's going to care for your already sick kids and all the other patients that have the usual ailments (they haven't gone away) if there's no-one working in the health care system cause they're at home looking after their children, cause there's no teacher's to open a few critical schools?
Why ask the rhetorical question in post 265 then?

That’s ok for the teacher then to take it back home to their family......

Then again they do have a choice of no or yes to do it.

Personally with my poor families health ‘child with a brain tumour along with a fcuked up immune system’ that struggles to fight off infections etc etc which would probably kill her then NO I wouldn’t do it.

Petty someone didn’t think to think on before getting accused with that old saying ‘I’m allright Jack’. Not you I might add.

1 teacher supervising a class of Kids could mean 20+ NHS or Emergency Services workers can turn up for their shift.

Not a direct reply but for peoples info

Just seen on Tesco website if you are isolating, as we are, you need to put some notes in the comments section about this and they will drop stuff in carrier bags at the point you suggest and telephone you to let you know its there!
