There you go. If you're working on false figures for equipment, cause you booted buying it into the long grass hardly surprising when it goes tits up

"The investigation by BBC Panorama found that vital items were left out of the stockpile when it was set up in 2009 and that the government subsequently ignored a warning from its own advisers to buy missing equipment.
The expert committee that advises the government on pandemics, the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (Nervtag), recommended the purchase of gowns last June.

Gowns are currently one of the items in shortest supply in the UK and they are now difficult to source because of the global shortage of PPE.

Doctors and nurses have complained that there are also shortages of the life-saving FFP3 respirator masks.

Panorama has discovered that millions of FFP3 respirator masks are unaccounted for.

There were 33 million on the original 2009 procurement list for the stockpile, but only 12 million have been handed out.

The government refuses to explain where the other masks have gone."

So in 2009 the government were told to stockpile PPE , I can see why your calling for Boris to go

What, when Gordon Brown was PM, surely not?

To be fair Boris walked into the Brexit ****storm and had that to sort out so PPE wasn't that high on his agenda until it was too late unfortunately, that's Hancock's dept anyway as is attending the Cobra meetings

I didn't watch it as it was on BBC for the same reasons.

But without seeing it I will make a stab at surmising, undisclosed sources, equipment missing, wrong equipment and lack of forward planning for the unseen pandemic. So its obviously Boris's fault and the NHS managers and procurement are not in anyway to blame.

As i already stated lets clear this situation and then have a proper inquiry into what went wrong, whose to blame and a best practice response to any future problems.

But in five years I can forsee a Panorama programme about the waste of equipment sitting in warehouses and why are the government wasting money

And can someone correct me if I'm wrong but we are including any death with CV mentioned on the certificate and Germany only recording it if CV is the major cause of death?

I didn't watch the program , have read the BBC news report on the film , the fact it's a BBC program means it's not likely to be impartial 🙄😂
So you have people that wish to remain anonymous (that's handy ,
So in 2009 the government were told to stockpile PPE , I can see why your calling for Boris to go 🙄😂
Mistakes have been made , of course they have , as they have in every country except Germany and South Korea .
I expect there will be a reckoning when this is over , an honest one hopefully .

Corbyn still in the target zone due to age. He is in a sphere of influence and should be abiding by guidelines to set an example. He could have dialed in but know has to grandstand by sitting on the benches! If the politicians donít follow the advice why should every else?

Not every COBRA meeting has to be attended by PM as itís the responsibility of the relevant minister but donít worry the Emporer from the dark side Cummings was probably casting his evil influence over them as well as SAGE 😷😷😷

Boris did not attend any Cobra meetings between the 24th of January and 2nd March. For the two weeks of that period, when thousands of people had already died of coronavirus globally and Storm Dennis raged across England, Boris was holidaying in a large country house in Kent. Chevening

Corbyn is pretty healthy , can't comment on your parents ? this government needs scrutiny at the moment !

line by line

yep totally agree

that's what i mean Spain didn't allow children out under 14 for 6 weeks, we have, so they are relaxing rules to our level.

Corbyn is 70 and should be indoors and using video link. Why should he be allowed out and not my parents?

Corbyn bother is a knob and Boris shouldn't of shook hands but you don't see everyone doing the elbow to elbow thing anymore looking like ****s!

How will Boris **** off on holiday then? Oh you mean Chequers 2 weeks after leaving ICU, you've got me on that one!

Always going to have some idiots who ignore the rules , and should be factored in , every country has them !

I see kids out every time i go out , the majority are with adults for their daily exercise !

Corbyn going to parliament , really , shock horror !

Corbyn's brother ,yep,a bit of a nob , at least he didn't go shaking hands with everyone in a hospital , you really couldn't make that up !

Well , i just hope that Boris is treating it seriously now !and doesn't fu** off on holiday again !

When Cummings and Warner become "active participants " in the sage meetings , it is unprecedented and worrying , they should receive the outcome of the meetings and act on that !

This is what i mean by the word corrupting , Cumming's corrupts or pollutes the group ! a bit like a turd in your swim !

just looking at the types of places that are being allowed to reopen across countries...

hairdressers, garden centres, tattoo shops...

are they really the priority for people? what a shallow lot we are...

garden centres! that's great news for the affluent middle class who have had to suffer looking at last years flowering plants. not so much for the families in the high rise blocks / terraced rows...

hairdressers and tattooists - going to stay at a 2m distance to do that are they?

Why don't you lift those tinted sunglasses for a while.

Boris got mugged, Cummings SAGE controlled advice panel and we need an exit strategy demands.

We are weeks behind Europe in relation to exit stratergies who are starting to relax their policies to a level that we already have, 14 years and under allowed out for first time in 6 weeks - ours have never had this.

Sturgeon couldn't even discuss her strategy as she doesn't have one. Starmer put some ideas forward...... wind blows, weeds roll by and a bell tolls in the distance..... because he doesn't have any ideas. Corbyn breaks government advice and attends Parliament for a question he could have done by internet link. His brother holds a rally breaking government advice. You couldn't make it up.

There are idiots on both sides of this situation its not just the Tories as the MSM and members on here would have you believe.

Why are they still reporting just shy of 5,000 newly diagnosed everyday if people would stop being selfish and me,me,me attitude it will reduce. Saw more people on my dog walk yesterday than i saw all last week My cousin passed a park in London yesterday and saw picnics and people playing frisbee and back as pre shutdown weekends.

Why the **** are the majority of people following the guidelines when these idiots aren't!
