If there is a positive to take from this, having just checked the news I see that now we have the Coronavirus there appears to be no stabbings, murders, paedos, famine, brexit or anything else at all in fact, and nobody seems to be dying of anything else either, so it can't all be bad

To be fair many of us including myself have said political stuff and that's fine in moderation (in my opinion) but in the last couple of days (in my opinion) it's become less about the virus and more of a way of spreading political agendas.

For those who's posts are mostly political, surely you'd be better off joining and getting stuck into a political forum rather than a fishing forum?

Andycarper82: “ Now is not the time to be making comments based on political persuasion,”

Also Andycarper82: “ Can you just imagine what a bloomin shambles we'd be in now if labour had got it.... the mind boggles at the mess we'd be in........ the death toll would be unimaginable.....”. 😂

I think that we have seen from recent history that the current opposition parties are nothing but a complete joke, what we have in charge now is the best option and their making choices based on expert advice which is the way to go imo. Yes, it might not be 100% right all the time but it's better than a political decision based on opinions of non competents.

Can you just imagine what a bloomin shambles we'd be in now if labour had got it.... the mind boggles at the mess we'd be in........ the death toll would be unimaginable.....

Nope, I'm not a Tory or of any political persuasion, I go with what I think is best at the time.

And ....

Now is not the time to be making comments based on political persuasion, this is a time for hope in the medical experts advice and a swift return to normal life.

one of the problems with the NHS is pretty much all the execs running the trusts have only ever worked in the NHS, they have come through NHS management programmes and don't actually know how to run a business, which is how trusts are having to be run now, there is a revolving door at the top of these trusts these guys work at one for a few years, it goes to pot and they move to another and around it goes...

To an extent mate
They assess and fund the relevant kit, but Matt Hancock doesn’t drive the ppe and testing equipment around himself.
Same as they don’t have a hand in the hiring of workforce of an nhs trust, the upper echelons obviously but these people are never held accountable for failure.
Some things that get left to the ‘experts’ turn to ****.

The government is given several options and modelled outcomes, by experts. They've chosen the path we're on with the kit and people we've got Noj.

Whatever colour rosette is in charge at the moment is irrelevant. It's lives on the line. If we're losing more lives than other countries I will criticise the people in power who make the big decisions. You disagree?
