Well , lets just hope that they have

Ramped up oxygen production and storage to hospitals

Trained more nurses and doctors to treat covid patients , no point just having more beds

Have massively increased stock of ppe

Hoover and Dyson have made thousands of ventilators , hmmm !

etc etc

Bought a sniper rifle and rented somewhere looking over number 10

As Sunaks furlough schemes near end of life looks like we're going to the follow the Germans and French with a "Kurzarbeit" replacement. Not a lot of other options available to avoid mass unemployment now the situation is getting worse again.

The results so far regarding Sweden and it's closest Nordic neighbors suggest that Sweden is fairing worse than Norway Finland and Denmark , but it's far from over , they act responsibly as nation's though and have leaders they can trust in ,a world apart from us in the UK , they had a semi lockdown in Sweden , they had a plan and they stuck to it , not much point having a herd immunity strategy for 2 weeks as we did

I went to watch my Nephew play cricket yesterday on the outskirts of Bolton , just outside of the lockdown area where you can still drink , it was bound to happen , the migration of drinkers from Bolton to the closest none lockdown areas , nobody could foresee this ? the landlord did and put on extra beer to claw back some of this years losses !

The deaths per 100,000 of population are still very close between Sweden and the UK. Sweden’s neighbours with similar population density have fared much better and it looks like only 20-30% of the population have had the virus which is a very long way from what would be needed for herd immunity even if that is possible by exposure. Other European countries fared better than Sweden with a lockdown and it is not as if Sweden saved their economy either.

There was a joke going round Stockholm when the social distancing rule was introduced that went along the lines of “2 metres, why so close?”
