In reply to Post #2773 loss of smell was recognized as a symptom in France , 2 months ago , it was one of the first symptoms my Nephew and his girlfriend had in their uni accommodation in Leeds , same goes for their friends in the house ,they all caught it , sounds like it was rampant in the uni accommodation ,
Also , it was mentioned by one of the uk government advisors on the 30th of March but was not included in the list of symptoms ?
I hope that we can all agree that they should not be allowed to get away with these lies they are having the ar** hole
the lies .

In reply to Post #2771 It was highlighted As with extreme fatigue but not acknowledged by 111 as a symptom 😡
James O Brien on LBC now thinks he has had CV because he couldn’t smell the bacon he was cooking at the weekend 😷😷😷 we need this antibody test to tell everyone who has had it 👍🏻 But that has gone very quiet again 😡

In reply to Post #2771 it was definitely on the 'long list'
I think now it's one of the symptoms they are saying you should call 111 for...
will likely have an effect on cases / tests if more people are showing different symptoms

In reply to Post #2769 Ah mister Hancock....
Immigration Bill being discussed today in Parliament.
Care workers don't meet the threshold for pay and not seen as 'skilled' workers so foreign workers won't be allowed to come and work in that sector under the new bill... whilst at the same time many who are in that demographic are putting themselves at risk on a daily basis and being applauded and praised by Hancock and co.
I mean - you couldn't make it up could you....

In reply to Post #2767 and you won't be the only one mate
and teachers get that because at the end of the day, we want what's best for our students. and Williamson and Gove (where the f*ck is Boris?) playing economic politics with their safety just stinks.

In reply to Post #2765 Honestly mate its a bloody joke
Saying that it's 'safe' but then saying there can be no guarantee so parents remain concerned. Then saying that parents can choose to not send their children back ... so it's not safe then?
And if that's the case what do we teach? No point trying to catch up on curriculum if 30 per cent of the kids aren't coming back ...
Saying that teachers can't wear ppe cause it'll scare the kids but supermarket staff should be.
Another tory education minister shafting teachers, students and parents. What a surprise

In reply to Post #2764 Seems a fair statement to me. Groups of kids running feral together round here for the entire lockdown, though to be fair 90% of their parents don’t work, are in and out of each other’s flats/houses and probably wonder why there’s long queues outside Aldi.
Had an altercation with one bloke for blowing clouds out of his vape over my missus and son, couldn’t understand the brief biology lesson about the vapour potentially carrying virus particles further than they would normally travel.... “ain’t no chemicals bruv, vaypa innit” Junkie ****

In reply to Post #2763 Can't speak for all but I know a lot of places have used a rota system for staff rather than one group of teachers to cover every day.
Without getting into generalising, the feeling is that key workers have been better on all of the guidance re distancing etc. Not having bloody house parties and the like.... so the kids are lower risk in that respect. That feels like a sweeping statement but hopefully you get what I mean key workers have had to be strong on safety measures.
Been reading the government info and it's pathetic. Lots of 'should' and 'where possible ' and undefined statements like 'small groups' leaving the detail to someone else so they can cover their arses without committing to anything.
Wishy washy doesn't come close.

In reply to Post #2762 What’s the feeling among teachers that have stayed on with key workers kids when the remaining staff are having reservations about their safety going back mate?
Would’ve thought the key workers kids posed the biggest risk, but I accept attendance numbers make a big difference

In reply to Post #2761 Yeah it does.
Chelsea, primrose Hill, belgravia. ... unless you count second homes too of course. ...
Listening to Gove. F***ing Gove of all people using phrases like 'if you care about children' and our 'responsibility ' on the radio today .... talk about a red rag...
