I don't think carp vlogging is the best route to a fortune

Better ask that Greg Ellis bloke, he may be good for a grand in 20 years time

Well found this

As a benchmark, you can expect to make around $1.50 per 1,000 views (about 1.10 per 1,000 views, at the time of writing). This means that one million views equals $1500... or around 1,100 to us British folk.

I don't think carp vlogging is the best route to a fortune

That kid Ryan and his family though are minted!

but because it's on YouTube it must be ********, really?

I don't think this is the case, but you can't deny that if it's on Youtube it might be ****.

There is no editorial control, no comeback, and no real scrutiny of what people put up. The 'main stream media' are duty bound to carry out these controls. Excluding them as a source of news seems a bit odd.

Separating the wheat from the chaff on YT is hard work, and not something everyone has the time or inclination to do, so you either watch stuff you agree with, or dismiss opposing views as cobblers. I'd give much more consideration to an opposing point of view, whatever the subject, if I saw it on Newsnight, for example, rather than YT because I would assume that Newsnight journalists have done some work to make sure it's someone worth listening to.

Btw, doctors aren't infallible. It was Dr Andrew Wakefield who kicked off the whole anti-vax MMR thing.

As far as incomes go, didn't the bloke shocked by the low number of under 20s dying etc etc have a 'Go Fund Me' banner at the bottom while he was prattling on?

Fair enough, how do you build those millions of hits might be a better question. Mr Stunning Burfield Common has about 45k views on youtube of his capture. Not worth a ****?

That's another thing I should have added to my earlier post about the divisions, its seems you can also have a totally rational person analysing the situation (and there are many including many Doctors) using available facts and figures to point out the bleeding obvious (to some) but because it's on YouTube it must be ********, really?

The bloke I was referring to was the man in the video, not you

Are you convinced it's entirely healthy to just get info from Youtube and the likes?

It's the digital age equivalent of refusing to read newspapers and getting all your information from what's written on bus shelters and toilet doors a few years ago.

Hang on a minute .... the bloke banging on about info not being given air time by 'the BBC, ITV, SKY News etc.' talking about something broadcast on ....... SKY News

Why is he so obsessed with the incredibly low number of under-20s dying? No one ever said they were in danger.

Dr Robert Redfield, Director of CDC in the USA told a senate hearing on Wednesday that even after 200,000 US deaths linked to covid-19, 90% of Americans are still suspectable to the virus. You do the math.

You well know that the government gets lots of different scientific advice. They choose which advice they follow then call it following the science.

The point of the age differential in severe and quite often deadly cases of covid-19 is obviously valid and well known. The issue is what do you do about it without a vaccine? The only game in town, was and still is test the granny out of it, with an effective and rapid track and trace system, if we wanted to open society and business up fully for all. We haven't been able to do that despite all the hyperbolic cobbler's from the government. I'm not a fan of locking millions of British people away indefinitely so the rest can crack on. But I can understand others views that are suffering financially or in other ways that might want to go down that route.
