In reply to Post #3873 Similar to me. Everybody seems to want blood from the politicians now. I still want it from the ****s who started it, you know, root cause
It’s a worldwide pandemic that will kill millions and cripple economies worldwide. How about all these poor people in the back of beyond, nobody is reporting the real figures, that’s a major problem for me. It’s turning into a humanitarian and economic disaster and we will just have to put up with it
Sounds like I should go back around 15 pages of this thread, how things have moved on

In reply to Post #3853 Best way to be Paul
Way too many people view success or failure of the government's covid-19 strategy purely through a death rate% or economically. It's always been a bigger picture in my view. Taking away our civil freedom is a huge part for me. I've hated it, but have followed the rules as best I can understand them. Now we've a new tranche of rules imposed without debate from Monday. With fines, and marshalls to impose them on the public. Rules for meeting relatives or friends in care homes/hospitals/ respite centers/ your or their homes etc. That may be terminally ill or have serious debilitating illnesses like dementia. I've said before I'll abide by the rules but if someone that matters to me is in a bad way no-one is telling me I can't see them. The more mistakes this government makes the more will die, the more the country will suffer economically and the more freedoms will be taken away, arbitrary it now seems. So constructive criticisms and scrutiny of the current government and coming to your own conclusions are more important than they've ever been in my lifetime. Certainly more important than what colour rosette you pin on your chest every few years....

In reply to Post #3865 Yes but only builders and a fortnight old copy of the sun will do because even that’s still a way ahead of some of them
I don’t think anyone would disagree that the government have made mistakes. But to be fair with an isolation period of 2 weeks for active cases and a 3 month lockdown, people only have themselves to blame if you do the pretty simple maths. Most were paid to sit at home ffs but it was too much to ask

In reply to Post #3861 Plenty of polls...the ones the tories relied on and called accurate around the election... have been finding more people think the government have done a bad job for months now. It’s just increased and increased.
