Andy , go back to the start of this thread , a few on here could of done a better job ,
Herd immunity , then the u turn the next week , so we had the worst hit economically and regarding deaths
PPE fiasco
Ventilator fiasco
Both of the above doomed to failure mainly because of endemic corruption
Track n trace fiasco
Constant lies regarding ,,,,,,, everything

i could go on and on and on but the Boris fan club , if theirs any left now , get all upset

It's a shi* show , shame , but some of us knew it was coming as soon as Boris got in power on the back of a pack of lies , shoveled down our throats by a complicit press and media , more and more are waking up to why this happened now !

Outside of this thread I think that's what many people think but they must take one look at this thread and think what a waste of trying to post something, you'll only be pounced upon by some SWP lefty. Now I'm not saying we have an abundance of SWP's but when you read what's written sometimes you could be forgiven to think that is the case.

This thread is a reply to Andy and I'm not getting involved with tit fors with others

What about the people that disagreed with the approach from the beginning? Considering Britain didnít react until after other countries so saw the start of what was happening elsewhere. That isnít hindsight.

Regardless, maybe a bit of foresight would have helped. I mean, Iíve detailed the issue with children spreading it from school or vice versa in this thread.. But the government say there is no risk?

Believe it or not but the Government are actually trying to do the best for the country based on evidence and the science, they desperately do not want this virus to spiral out of control and are doing the minimal required to stop it's progress so our lives and impacted the least and the economy is damaged the least....

Hindsight based arguments are all that the opposition have on their side... Seeing as this is a new problem how can any government be expected to get everything right first time?.... In a year or so's time we'll be much better eqipped to deal with Covid19.

good words mate.

I try to sift through both sides and find the best way through for me and my family.

big arguments on each side about the virus, politics, house market, race. I never feel extreme either way. just try to pick the gold from the ****

I thought this was an interesting article. Not scare mongering but also not the ridiculous it's all faked by the Aliens stuff

Exactly as you say, stats fit the agenda. Fatality stats and infection stats are different and depending on what you look at it paints a different picture entirely, as you say. America and Brazil have larger populations so 3% fatalities of Over 6 million confirmed cases (USA) is actually a larger number than multiple European countries put together.

In hindsight (that word again) it looks like Sweden wasn't as reckless as predicted.

Taken from the 1st link
Sweden has had a fatality rate of 6.8%, according to Johns Hopkins University. This is lower than the UK (11.7%), France (8%) and Italy (12.6%) but higher than those of the US (3%), Spain ( 5.5%), Brazil (3.1%).

So depending how the MSM spreads the news you could be forgiven in thinking the virus was out of control in America and Brazil yet their rates are 3% and 3.1% respectively and you could argue (which I won't) that we are not the worst in Europe. Point I'm trying to make is you can focus on certain facts stats to fit an agenda.
