Itís easy to forget the scientific narrative on all this hasnít really changed, as opposed to the MSM who have managed to put the fear of God into some people while others not so much, just search YouTube for Chris Whitty and listen to him

Rubbish , i have heard many times on the news how the figures spike , usually on Tuesday as the counting is not accurate over weekend , all the graphs clearly show this . any idiot can work it out !

Anti leaving lockdown , i am self employed and have claimed zero money from the government , i have an electrician on my job at present , who is doing a first fix , then the plumber will be doing his first fix , one is married to a care worker who is working with c 19 patients ,the other has a pregnant wife so nobody else will be working there while they are there and the house is empty , it's about using your common sense !

Have we any provisions for "isolated hotspots " that might flare up ???

We have the biggest liar in politics as our pm and we are meant to trust them

Boris on visiting a c19 hospital , "i shook hands with everyone" ! yep , lets trust his judgement !

Why can't they pull their finger out and get a decent supply of face masks , we are not a 3rd world country , the importance of masks can't be overstated , shambles ! when this pandemic broke out we had a stockpile of 26 million masks , our "emergency pandemic" supply , but it turned out 80 % had expired the "use by date " a shambles and no surprise that we would have the worst death rate in Europe !

Your local MP is asking on Facebook about clarity, what about doing his ****ing job and asking in Parliament when itís discussed later when the dossier is released! Facebook the font of all knowledge regarding CV and lockdown.

Italy who suddenly found 10,000 extra deaths but wonít add them to their figures.

And not appearing with Piers Morgan, Iíve got a sniffle I must get a test, will be sadly missed by the viewing public of the UK.

What SAGE Members who canít even follow the guidelines because they want a shag!

Mistakes have been made and will be in the future but letís get Boris mentality is totally missing the point of getting out of this scenario. In time investigations will take place and that is the time for scrutinising and condemning actions about what happened and not while we are still trying to rationalise and work through this pandemic.

To me stay alert means don't let your guard down, don't allow social distancing rules to slip, carry on washing your hands, avoid touching surfaces others may of touched etc etc
It's been two months it's easy to let things slide, stay alert!

This is not a dig but how do you stay ALERT,the virus is invisible, you can't see it on surfaces or if someone is a carrier.I think the lockdown has been lifted too soon.We will get another spike with alot more lives lost

Yep , absolutely no confusion is there , so Dominic Raab has just contradicted Boris and told the nation that they could go and see both parents together , oops hold on seems like he got that wrong turns out that you can't .

Boris addresses the nation and announces his plans , oh hold on , Scotland Northern Ireland and Wales have to clarify things as his statement looks to include them when it does not , oops !

Good job somebody was "alert " and spotted these discrepancies .

It's very concerning that they avoid scrutiny at every opportunity , even members of the sage committee are threatening their resignation after their recent report was heavily censored as it criticized some ministers for their handling of events , and what about Boris's ban on ministers appearing on certain stations and shows , this is a dangerous precedent , clearly even the "Doris fan club " should understand the implications of this !

My local MP has tried to clarify the governments latest c19 strategy via facebook and within 45 mins 100's of people are asking questions , yep crystal clear lads !

Wasn't too long ago that our government was condemning Italy as a basket case as their c 19 deaths rose to 20 000 and Boris was claiming that it was a disaster that reflected the state of Italy !

Stay alert , to what Boris and co are doing !

Very funny 😀

But heard this on Talkradio this morning ďthe Tory haters, anti Brexit, anti leaving lockdown and opposition donít understand STAY ALERT but the rest of the country just gets on as does itĒ about sums it up.

If you look on BBC News website they have the front pages of the newspapers side by side - the lefties saying itís chaos and the righties saying small steps to unlocking the shutdown.

Just waiting for the low weekend figure today as usual then the hike in numbers who died tomorrow for the usual media outlets to state that the release has failed

Exactly , who gives a **** what other countries think , every country outside of Germany have made mistakes , but you don't hear about them all , France has a terrible track record with old people , they have an even worse record with minority's , especially the Algerian . Spain just as bad , and others .
The virus hasn't gone away , so have a bit more freedom , but STAY ALERT , how that's hard to understand is beyond me 😂
Some of you just like to find fault for faults sake .

Another biased piece by the not so Independant, Sweden has admitted abandoning the carehomes and Spain has forgot to admit that they havenít included their carehome figures in their total deaths. Where is the criticism of them by the Independant.

Every country has made mistakes and some admit them and some donít!

If you read the media you would think that the problems are unique to the UK they are not.

Donít lose sight that this whole problem was caused by China and the WHO, remember itís not spread by human to human contact!

Who gives a **** what other countries think........

WHO are the ones who need to take the blame for the delaying the information because there in Chinaís pocket!

Scientists should then be responsible, oh wait most of science is unproven and simple mathematical theories.

Why the **** people are confused is beyond me, Boris laid out simple rules but FB and CF experts are struggling to understand his speech???

We have been locked down for nearly 2 months and now itís time to slowly start opening up, canít wait for the football season to restart and most of you will have something else to talk about.......
