In reply to Post #1 When my gear was stolen in 2004 i didnt have any receipts but what i did have was various pictures of my gear in fishing situations which helped massively when the insurance women came round to check. My insurance was with LLoyds as well and after she had seen all my fish pictures etc paid out with no issue......

In reply to Post #1 Sorry to hear you got done mate.
If you have photos of some of the gear stolen (bank shots of rods, reels etc) then that should help you out a bit.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
I have been a victim of the thieving toe rags.... Very gutted as they stole items that have sentimental value to me.
They broke the lock off of my shed and stole gardening equipment as well as my fishing gear.
My first problem I have encountered is my home insurance only covers £5000... So that doesn't cover everything that was taken. My second problem is that my insurance is now asking for proof of ownership of my items. Since they have asked this, I understand why they would need it. But most things I have owned for years and I am very unreliable to keep receipts (hide them from the wife)
I may have the boxes for my reels in the loft but that is probably all I have.... My main reason for writing this essay is to ask you all, if anyone has been unfortunate and been in same boat as me. I have my home insurance with LLOYDS Bank.
Thank you for reading this.
