If it's any help, I just tried some on in a shop and the Fortis SJ9 felt exactly the same fit as my Snugpak one. The FJ6 is longer in the body and slightly looser fitting.

Thatís where I just purchased mine from, not fortis name and £30+ cheaper!! Iíve gone for the 6 and will see how I get on, sounds like I wonít need a jumper on underneath like I do currently with my trakker jacket. Also ordered it in medium so hopefully thatíll be okay

I purchased a s j 3 a few months ago just to add to the collection. Tried two on the same size and one fitted great the other not so good. Would be nervous buying online.

I just wear a long sleeved t shirt under my fortis or snugpak jackets. Not even a proper base layer. No mid layer fleece or hoodie.

Always been ok in the thick of winter. I do t feel the cold too much maybe as winter footwear is a 3 quid pair of sports direct welly socks with some standard b and q 9 quid wellingtons boots.

Ive just bought the snugpak SJ9 from extremeGB (i think) with the velcro patches on the arm for £105.00

cheap i thought. Quite a trim fit though in a medium which is odd as i used to have the same jacket in the fortis camo and it was fine. Feels way more padded also?

I used a 3 all last winter with an Elements undersuit & the Elements fleece without feeling cold. I also have a 6 but it is too warm with just the 2 layers underneath! The 9 would be like wearing a mobile sauna if you wore anything underneath it!!!!!

The only difference is as mentioned the Velcro bits on the sleeves. I have an SJ9 and it is very warm, great for once you are set up and not moving around. They are a tailored fit so quite snug but I found the Snugpak ones true to size.

Snugpak did DPM about 5 years ago for themselves but they gave the DPM right (so to speak) to Fortis when they came along.

If you want green for winter go for the sasquatch.

If you want DPM for winter go for the Fortis 6. (the 9 is just too hot and my mates who have them sweat like pigs in them)

The snugpak one may have a Velcro square on the arm for military insignia - barring that I think theyíre identical if you want the dark green one.

I know what you mean, it doesnít actually seem to fit anyone well!
