Very good point but surely in this day and age the little y shape thing your line sits on could detect which way the first movement is.Not so much the side to side but the forward and backwards movement surely could be detected with all this technology we have

I would have thought it would be to do with the vibration sensor not reacting to the direction the line is going and just the fact it is vibrating. obviously a roller can only go forward or back so probably alot easier to put drop back in.
Im sure someone more intelligent than myself would be able to tell me if it is possible to make it detect dropbacks.

Interestingly, on their Fbook page, Delkim responded tonyet another question about water resistance without skating around the issue, for once.
Asked " are they waterproof ?", they replied with a simple " yes ".
That's the first time I have seen them give a non ambiguous answer to the question.
Could ut possibly be that the delayed launch is to give them time to tweak the manufacturing process, as they have finally realized that nothing less than fully waterproof would be acceptable to their potential customer base ?
If so, I will be sorely tempted by a set, I do miss the warble !

From the video it seems to me that Delkim are finally settling the debate as to whether water ingress and false bleeps are a real problem on previous models...

Just watched the YouTube thing below, they should have the DND feature as a locked on option, the lakes would be so much quieter

agree with this I have just gone from delkims to rx+s and the drop back is really useful. I know if its 2 beeps forward and two backwards rather than just 4 beeps without looking.

I just like to know what's going on out in the lake if my leads been moved away from me or towards me and the different alarm tone tells me and if your bobbin stays down you know it's not just a liner and potentially you have been done.Just a bit more information than a beep
