In reply to Post #668 Is there anything on the new delkim that is better than the rx+ I have always said if delkim sorted the utter ***** receiver out and went to digital then I would be seriously tempted

In reply to Post #664 I didnt dislike anything about them mate. I bought them when the new txis rumours surfaced, so i could sell my older txis before the market was flooded with them. Was a financial/convenience thing. Never had any bother with the rx+, they worked as well as youd expect, did everything very well. but i was always going to get the new delkims, as ive always used delkim.

In reply to Post #666 If everyone waited 2 years to buy anything to see if it stands that test of time, no one would ever buy anything. Cant buy that car, it might develop a fault after 80k miles

In reply to Post #661 My txi were perfect for two years and started playing up and over about a year became unreliable, sadly having them serviced was only a short term fix. These new ones may be better for reliability but only time will tell, personally I would expect many years of trouble free service from them before I would say they were a good purchase. Let's be honest they are one of the most expensive alarms out there. I've had much cheaper alarms that have been more reliable, atts, and the fox bashers won't agree but my old rx alarms were far more reliable.

In reply to Post #664 Apart from them being hideously ugly. Obviously.

In reply to Post #659 What don't you like about the rx+ then heff.
Is just a preference thing?.

In reply to Post #662 Apologies to anyone i have offended by sharing my opinion on something i actually own. I wont bother in future

In reply to Post #661 SO FAR

In reply to Post #660 Well, they got drenched, and covered in muck, from a days worth of rain. Now i would say that is good enough for me to say i have not got water ingress issues on mine, so i dont need to keep spares just in case.
The issues have been first time out in the rain, mine have been fine.

In reply to Post #659 How have they proven good, we're you testing them for delkim for a few years before they released them?
|
|
|
In reply to Post #658 Mine have been out through the rain yesterday, covered in muck from all the dust from
The floor bouncing up onto them. Not put a foot wrong. Think as with all things there will be a few wronguns that get through, but mine have been spot on. Im happy to put my rx+ up for sale now as these have proven good

In reply to Post #656 In all the videos I have watched on the new delkims I have not seen the flashing led mentioned but I don't think that would bother me but the other problems being reported have put me off for a while.Im not saying never but will let the teething problems be sorted out

In reply to Post #656 With how hot it was my theory would be an overheat, probably because the LED was constantly active. Maybe there more delicate circitury in a receiver than the alarm heads?
Valid point though about the alarms.

In reply to Post #654 Get that but why make one capable of withstanding heat and the other not?
Surely it is reasonably foreseeable that something designed for 100% outdoor use could be exposed to long periods of heat and should be able to withstand all the elements as far as possible? After all, have you ever seen a warning on a set of Receiver or alarm instructions about problems in direct sunlight?
Whilst i completely agree with your comments on phones/TV's etc most alarm heads and receivers are made out of the same materials and have very similar component parts...... ......i personally have left various Receivers, (Fox, Delkim, Neville etc) outside my door on a bucket or hung of the end of my peak and never had an issue....
Hopefully for the guy concerned it was a one off...

In reply to Post #654 Also, my txi-ds have been sat out in the rain all day, and have been faultless, no issues with water ingress, or ghost runs etc
