Hopefully the government will realise how toxic and out of control some of these "big clubs" have got and take action. Personally i'd like to see the German style of club ownership adopted where fans own 51% of the club, can i see it happening? Sadly, probably too extreme a change for this country.

In reply to Post #5770 I don't agree with this super league but by my own admission Arsenal aren't good enough to be in it at the moment anyway.

In reply to Post #5770 Exactly that for me. Not exactly in it for a passion for the English game, club history or even the fans

I can see City and the Spuds pulling out, but I can't see the 3 American owned clubs following suit. American sports owners aren't used to relegation and competition, this is arguably their only chance to do something about it.

In reply to Post #5768 After Jurgen and pep's comments, don't be surprised if Liverpool and city are next. 2 of the top managers in football saying they don't want a part of it.
I heard that the Spanish courts have passed an injunction to stop players being banned from competitions as threatened by uefa. ... that could prove interesting

In reply to Post #5767 So it would appear Chelsea are the first to pull out, as much as I hope it will be a domino effect, I'm not sure it will be
