East Delph lakes complex Spring 2019 Social
update.
donation 22-04-2019
happy to add any more that comes in

well where to start
Prior to the social proper it was arrive well before to get all the facilities sorted, only to be told the lake bookings had gone astray and Nash tackle had both lakes booked the thursday night to friday 1300 as they had 2 days at sheltons peterborough
with a little discussion and offers of beer ( gets them every time) we had the access to the lakes to keep the screen house up and the beers cold for the forum punters on friday
it was a bit stressy but there you go
to cut a long story very short
Beer ----lots and very cold thanks to Josh for ice and steffys primary coolbox and can tetris skills
Food --- lots chipped in and again Josh kicked it up a gear with raiding morrisons at every opportunity, again cold due to Josh ice ( theme her lads) and his iceytek coolbox which is an absolute must.
Dinny again couldnt make it, i am thinking he his looking more like Lord Lucan every day but thanks for the tax deductible donation
Roll call of suspects
Martin Josh Stefan Tom Karlos Ian Tom Ian Matt Ryan Cameron Stewart Andy Lyndon aka Dinny
Before the weekend there was £100 in the pot
total after the session the donations stands at a very respectable £320 as of 22/04/19
pics to follow of some very nice fish.
Thanks to all who attended and thanks to steffy for not trying to ban anyone and picking up the bar duties so well.
Massive thanks to Josh for not only chucking food and beer at the meeting point but also probably 75% of the gas to actually cook the food on and fighting eskimos for the northern ice shelf to keep the beers and food cold.
Thanks to all you lads for coming and raising some charity money which after various discussions is going to air ambulance for the sterling work the do and i am sure we all pray that we or our loved ones need their assistance
some dodgy pics to follow no doubt LOL

In reply to Post #1 Thanks Martin for organising. Great weather for sunbathing, not so good for catching carp (damn that no floater rule!) although still quite a few out. Great weekend, and was good to meet everyone.

Thanks for organising it Martin
Great to go to a social again after so many years of missing them, and nice to see faces both new and old. Also got to see some fish, so all boxes ticked!

from post 1

Josh is the mild mannered caretaker or the bumbling daily planet news hound,,,----- always under the radar when actually doing something constructive,
as opposed to winding people up on the forum with some infamous dough quotes

In reply to Post #180 Would just like to add my thanks to everyone for a great weekend.
A BIG to Martin and Josh for providing the food, booze and a great social atmosphere.
Even managed a couple of fish myself. Not done that since Waterbeach. I suppose that can happen when you actually get the rods out on a social .
Thanks again Martin for organising it all.
ps. I'm sorry if I had to ask people to repeat theirselves constantly when they were talking to me but I'm going a bit mutton in me old age

In reply to Post #177 I've heard a rumour that you're best of taking the line out of BOTH clips when using these grinders.
Oh and while Martin's getting plenty of praise, rightly so, Josh also contributed hugely to the veritable feast laid before us from start to finish.
