Imo he's got inside there heads, but he is himself pretty fragile mentally, all it would take is one of our more aggressive batsman to really get after him and that would nullify him for the rest of the series, the trouble is the only batsman I feel could do it is kp, but he's not in great touch atm.
Stokes and carberry have that aggressive nature but not the experience I think.

I'm not overly worried about Perth, broad and tremlett should enjoy it there, I wouldn't be surprised to see bresnan come in for swanny for that one aswell

Johnson 21.0 8 53 1

Wonder if we are starting to work him out?

Nasty atmosphere today. Worse than Brisbane IMO. To my mind it takes a lot of the pleasure out of watching/listening. Surely the umpires need to step in now. Can't see Dickie Bird letting that sort of language go unchecked.

Well I did say johnson was a series winner!
If you think that was embarrassing... Wait until the Perth test
At least we gave our own master class, just a shame it was in middle order self destruction

Listen to Boycs sticking it to them on the BBC R5 podcast. he doesn't hang back!

Link...

How can the bowler who was ridiculed on the last tour be destroying us!

Well he's acquired armfuls of tats and a Merve the Swerve 'tash for a start! Looks bloody fierce even before he starts his run: witness that stare he gave Anderson...!

Since following the England team this has been the most shocking play I have seen to date.

Severely disappointed with Root and KP the way they got out.
This is the time to produce, but I am afraid things an't looking good here.

Johnson is destroying us.
Seems we can't cope with fast bowling.

Root at 3 and Bell down at 5?
Don't make sense at the minute.

Awful!
How can the bowler who was ridiculed on the last tour be destroying us!

Cook and pieterson need to step up here, two of our best ever batsmen should be leading by example getting runs, not giving their wickets away and starting these epic collapses!
These two got runs against the likes of Bret lee and Shaun tait, Johnson's pace shouldn't be a problem!

What a way to start a series. Only 6 days played in total and we look tired and beaten...

I fear another 5-0 drubbing, but we bounced back well from the last such result out there in 2007, winning the 2009 Ashes series.

It's too soon for bresnan after the injury, looks like a possibility for the 3rd test tho. With his pace on these pitches I'd expect him to go for a lot of runs, but he does give you important wickets and useful runs.

I want to see stokes, brilliant in the field, can really punish teams with the bat and bowls mid 80s with the odd quicker ball 90+mph.

Seemed a bit childish from Anderson, most quicks would stick a bouncer on his chin or ribs and be done with it
