In reply to Post #865 I've been a biker for fifty years and still remember my first Ducati. Traded in a two year old blade for a new 916 which I rode home through the twisty roads as I didn't want to sit at a constant speed while running it in. When I arrived home and put it in the garage I wondered if I had done the right thing as I was in pain, neck, wrists, hips and back all ached and could barely move. Thing was I collected it on a Friday and had it booked in for it's running in service five days later as we were going to Assen for the wsbk on the Friday. Two years later I wanted to trade it in on the r version and no Ducati dealer wanted it saying no one would buy it with over thirty thousand miles on it. Sold it privately and bought RSV factory and never went back to Ducati untill the multistrada came out.

In reply to Post #865 I wanted a Duc back in 2005 but the short servicing intervals and costs put me off They opened a shop near where I used to live/drive past, the amount of time I spent gawking

In reply to Post #864 Had loads of bikes, once you ride a Ducati twin, not much compares, immense
I don’t doubt the power but I find a screaming 4 quite boring nowadays, far too high revving unless your racing of course.

Wow, well done to Dunlop, he clawed 6 seconds back like it was nothing!
Still think I prefer the scream of the other bikes to the dulcet tones of the Duc

In reply to Post #862 Load of my mates just got back on Monday, poor show with the rain ☔️
Different yesterday, great weather and a well deserved win for Davy Todd in the superbike, he was due
They say Dunlop is riding the equivalent of Topraks bike, I think technology has near on come as far as it can, for road racing, they say a stock BMW S1000RR takes some beating, which is pretty incredible really
And Hickman is a lucky man, if you are giving a second chance around there at race pace you have had some luck!

In reply to Post #861 Looking to be one the worst tt in years if the weather forecast is correct after last week's practice was also very limited.

In reply to Post #860 I had a look at what I think is the crash, he hit 1 crash bag, his bike another.
Very lucky to crash where there's decent protection, looks like he's avoided anything serious injury wise, thank god.

In reply to Post #857 Dangerous and not good, roads will be slippy, not good for fast speeds. I hope the roads dry out nicely for the main races

In reply to Post #855 I get the red flag and restart of full race as less than 3 laps completed but only active riders, ie, those who hadn't crashed out and not got back on ie, AM shouldn't have been allowed to restart, even the commentators couldn't explain it quoting the rules. They went as far as to explain why that rule had been introduced
Factory Dunlop bike ...you shud b there

In reply to Post #854 I think it was Silverstone too, fast track. Ducatis just destroyed the tyres?
Restart was for the red flag, oil on the track after a crash
20 of my mates are off to the IOM on Thursday for the TT and 4 nights on the piss, no bikes, gave it a miss, be absolutely mental, beserka
I’m off then end of June, can’t wait, be able to ride the old mountain, a lot quieter. During the TT it is absolutely mental and the mountain will be shut due to crashes, more than it’s open!
They reckon Dunlop has a factory bike now so that should be interesting to see against Hickman!

In reply to Post #853 Yeah, there were some fabulous 'saves' throughout, I quite like the idea of a cooler race to throw the cat amongst the pigeons.
Those leathers, nuts. At 1st I thought MM was pinned under the bike but the more I look at it he just refused to let go
I still dont get that restart..hmm
TT starts today

In reply to Post #852 Great race, unlucky for FQ sadly, deserved the win
Zarco! lol
No Ducati dominance today but good points for MM, who not only started the elbow down and made more saves than anybody I have seen, unreal, now hanging onto the bike when it slides from under him to prevent tdamage lol, crazy
And how good is leather, how far did AM slide ffs lol
