Yeah definitely should have called it a day after Warrington, that fight he aged massively. And yeah Santa Cruz is a hell of a fighter, I did agree with the cards on both occasions though

Similar to me at the time

I thought Warrington retired him myself, wasn’t in the same league fitness wise and had been going downhill prior to this fight as I saw him. Saying that, Santa Cruz is a hell of a fighter! so the competition was there!

I know Chris, I watched it. Even before that happened he wasn't at the races at all, which I was gutted about as I had quigg to win via stoppage

Split decision maybe, but the scorecard giving it to quigg was a joke. He won maybe 3 or 4 rounds that night. Admittedly quigg didn't really show up and if he had been on form then I believe the outcome would have been different , but I guess we'll never know

Two weight world champion who,s had some hard fights, very experienced, was definately interested but at the weight knew from round one that he was going to be up against it , just too small against a fighter with a great jab.He gave it a go to become a three weight world champion.Total respect from me hope he has a happy retirement.

Frampton had gone well before this fight imho. Been a great fighter but i guess you have to know when to give up

He was lucky against Quigg, managed to turn over Santa Cruz which was a hell of a result and then the loss to Warrington was it for me. Had some tough fights

Watched Lennox Clarke at the Birmingham arena when on the same card as Nathan when losing on points to Lerone Richards. However last evening took the British and commonwealth super middleweight titles with a stoppage. Strangely enough I got talking to a lad ‘remained friends since’ whose mates with Lennox and so pleased to see his mate win. What a tough, tough lad Lennox is. Well done, chuffed for the lad.

I know Povetkin is knocking on a touch but didn’t he have covid in January as that could explain ‘other than age’ a lacklustre performance. Still, no doubt a nice payday.

young hatton wont be climbing too far up the ladder

Thought the same myself Jeff, a lot of nervous energy but has a very LOT to learn!

Quite emotional for his dad though I guess, wish him all the best and hope he does not get hurt
